While the radical left plots gun control and confiscation, normal Democrats join the run on guns

As radical progressives in Washington, D.C. and the bluest of the blue states plot gun control and confiscation in direct violation of Supreme Court decisions, U.S and state laws, and the plain meaning of state and federal constitutions, it is easy to feel isolated as a liberty-loving American.

There are signs, though, that despite the illusion of Democratic unity being provided by the mainstream media, that many rank-and-file Democrats would abandon these radical few on the issue of guns.

In fact, many already have.

[snip]The thousands of new readers this site has picked up over the past two weeks don’t belong to one party, one race, or one religion. The only thing many of us have in common is a deep and abiding love for our liberties, and sincere determination to protect them at any cost for our children’s sake.

We can hope that the volume and depth of our feeling, echoed far and wide, will chill the drive towards tyranny that seems to have overwhelmed the senses of our would-be masters.

My question too about "Normal Democrat?" Are they just low information voters without a radical agenda?

I am starting to think there may be something to that idea.

The whole lock-step thing with this regime is way over the top. Four years now and the congress, senators, the media, corporations and banks, anyone who speaks against the king — all seem afraid to stand up against him. Feels like we’ve been taken over by outside forces and that everyone who can, is powerless to do anything. Something is just not right.

Will “leftist overreaching” help to make the majority of U.S. voters pro-conservative, again and soon?

Do you suppose Obama is coming after guns precisely because it will cause a big uproar?

All it will take is one guy who pulls a gun on the confiscators, and the media will go into overdrive with the message that anyone who opposes Obama is dangerous, extreme, and must be suppressed for the common good.

"Four years now and the congress, senators, the media, corporations and banks, anyone who speaks against the king..."

Who speaks for Obama? The MSM, the far Left talking heads and professors...followed by a small army of wanna-be Marxists mush-heads. Look to the Thomas Sowells, the Stephen Hayes ilk or Rush Limbaugh for anything close to the truth.

The Obama Propaganda Machine runs 24/7 even while the anointed one plays golf on the taxpayer's dime. Harry Truman, a real American, understood that he was employed by United States citizens...Obama and wife think they are owed your hard earned dollar.

No, this is for real. The powers that be are power gluttons and they can never have real power over us as long as we possess the means and the will to resist tyranny. The questions is whether we'll find the will to resist, because without that the means are fairly useless.

In effect, Kalifornia is positioned to confiscate every "assault weapon" that has been registered, since such rifles may not be inherited in Kalifornia.

Kalifornia and the federal government have confiscated every machinegun and short-barreled shotgun that I might have ever owned.

Kalifornia has confiscated the pistol-grip from my semi-automatic rifle by prohibiting me from attaching it to the rifle, under penalty of fine and imprisonment.

Kalifornia law enforcement have TWICE confiscated a rifle possessed by one of its citizens and charged him with a crime for possessing an unregistered "assault weapon". And TWICE they have had to return the firearm because it was not an "assault weapon", according to the vague and nearly impossible legal definitions adopted.

Being positioned to and might have taken, aren’t really the same as actually confiscating, is it?

In effect, that sounds like me having my lotto winnings taken away because my numbers didn’t come up.

But, if it is to you, then ok.

No, you're right. I still have the pistol grip and I can re-attach it to the rifle whenever I am willing to commit the felony of "manufacturing an assault weapon".
