It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see this coming. Why do you think Biden PROMISED a gun grab bill would be signed by the end of this month? He couldn’t rely on Congress, so if he made that promise, it was obvious that Obama had already told him this would be done through executive orders. Excerpted from The Washington Times: Vice President Joseph R. Biden vowed action on gun control from President Obama on Wednesday and floated the idea that Mr. Obama could use executive action to do so.
“The president is going to act,” Mr. Biden said, speaking briefly before a meeting with gun safety and gun victims’ groups Wednesday. “There are executive orders, executive action that can be taken. We haven’t decided what that is yet. But we’re compiling it all with the help [of] the attorney general and all the rest of the cabinet members as well as legislative action we believe is required.”

Any executive order can be instantly repealed by a future President. The fact that he is governing in this fashion means one of two things...he will complete his “transformation” within the next 4 years, or, he does not intend to leave office.
I have to admit that I'd be surprised if BO tries this, not that he'd entertain the thought. The chances of it being successful, though, are pretty good, given our roll-over-and-play-dead Congress.
But will it diminish gun violence, or the availability of guns? No.

Obama signs Executive Orders banning certain weapons....In four years, those Executive Orders go away with the President. If Congress passes a bill banning certain weapons, we will have to wait much longer to change the laws back. It took 10 years to change the laws back last time. What is better 4 years or 10 years??? I know most are going to say 1 day is too long....however, we are talking about the Almighty here...who wants to bans certain weapons.

While it would be noble for the house to begin impeachment hearings, without the ability for a positive decision to be rendered in the Senate (and there is no chance with Reid in charge), it would be pointless.

Then they came for new taxes, and more was withheld from my paycheck to help fund their frivolous, insane, out-of-control spending habits because the GOP failed to represent and protect me from punishing higher tax rate increases,
And then they came for my guns, and I begrudgingly handed them over to the Homeland Security agents because otherwise I would lose my job and couldn't provide for my wife and kids if I was arrested and imprisoned for failing to comply,
