WHY does anyone NEED an ASSAULT RIFLE?

He is so stupid he thinks the Second Amendment exists to help deer hunters.
It’s there so we can protect ourselves from government-gone-wild. And when THEY come for us, THEY will have assault weapons.
Amazing how the most ignorant among us rise to the top in power structures.
for when the race riots start.
How many shots does it take to stop an attacker or attackers? As many as it takes.
Has anyone been asking why is the government buying more ammo than there are American people?

Q:”How many shots does it take to stop an attacker or attackers?”
A: One, the other 20* (or 30*)are for his friends!
*one in the chamber and 20 in the box:)
I submit this question for consideration, How many enemies of the US, foreign or domestic, criminals and/or tyrants may I shoot before I must reload and how rapidly can I shoot them?
I say that there should be no limit other than that of the military pattern firearm technology that I now possess.
It occurred to me today that the Right’s push for a very strong military goes against the whole theory behind the second amendment. It would make a lot more sense to have a smaller military, be less involved in foreign wars and nation building, and for the armed public to be a better match for our military machine.
Amadou Diallo, police mistook a wallet for a gun and shot at him 41 times, striking him 19 times killing him.
Abner Louima was known for being “assaulted” with a broomstick at the hands of one not-so-well police officer.
Because I can’t afford a tank?
I’ve been telling people that the idea of the Second Amendment was that the citizens should be BETTER armed than the military, to keep the military from oppressing the people. That really makes their heads spin.
Youtube is validation salve for narcissistic douchebags.

Right you are.
On a related note, this thought occurred to me yesterday. Many conservatives love to talk about “American exceptionalism,” right? But, I’d be willing to bet their beloved Founders would have dismissed and even cautioned against such an idea.
For instance, baby boomers especially were taught to believe America is “good.” So, it’s no surprise they grow up to believe the leaders WE THE PEOPLE elect to OUR government are somehow incapable of becoming power-hungry tyrants. That happens elsewhere, not HERE!
Along with simple ignorance, it’s that sort of American exceptionalism I use to explain why so many sheeple insist we’re nuts if we suggest the Second Amendment not only was but IS needed today to fight tyranny and protect all the other rights.
He also doesn't understand that the Bill of Rights was not written to protect the rights of citizens to hunt. It was designed to protect citizens from an abusive government.
Pretty sad when a governor doesn't understand the Bill of Rights.
He needs to read this:
Amendment II
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Nothing about deer or hunting in Amendment II.
Because home invaders may wear body armor.
Because I want each round which enters a wall to not exit.
Because if I pull the trigger it must fire.
Because emptying the magazine means not having ammo when I need it.
Because fiddling around to ready the next round is a dangerous delay.
Because no other gun is a better tool for stopping a lethal attack NOW.
Because every feature the Left wants to ban it for makes it more useful for stopping a lethal attack NOW.
Because I need it for the same reason soldiers need it.
Because I’m defending 0.0000013% of the USA and take that job very seriously.
Because anyone hindering my ownership of an “assault weapon” is acting against defense of my 0.0000013% of the USA and therefor constitutes a “traitor foreign or domestic”.
You assume everyone who uses Youtube is a Douchebag?
The "need" for assault rifles is in its presence.
"Why are you standing against the wall?""To keep the elephants away!"
"I don't seen any elephants."
"Then it's working!"
The simple fact that people keep and bear them is enough to keep the government from descending into tyranny.
It's a red-herring to suggest that we don't need them because the government has never turned on us in 236 years. The truth is that the government has been successfully deterred from turning on us all this time because we are armed.
