If a law banning firearms were to be passed and signed by obama, probably half the gun owners, if not more, wouldn’t know about it unless it was announced on AMERICAN IDOL.

Look for the second American civil war to begin.

The doorstep is more proverbial. You don’t have to take it literally. How about what will Americans do when the Feds (or UN) ambush them while they’re in the shower or mowing the lawn?

Best.

I believe you are wrong. It is nice to think that, but it won’t happen IMO.

The police and military will obey whatever orders they are given. They have Communications equipment that is far superior to anything we have, and that is a great advantage when calling for help.

Um, no they don't. Every mode of communicantions that the police use was once invented by a ham radio operator.

I don't get why people have this image of the police and military being some kind of unstopable superpower.

All of the US military might, with other countries is bogged down in Afghanistan, and some of those Afghans are shooting old British Sharps rifles.

Um... yeah they do. And Afghans are “bogging” us down b/c we don’t use our whole military might. We could have easily gone in there, wiped them out, and then left in a year, but can’t b/c of having to be PC.

The local and state police WILL NOT necessarily be involved in this. During the Waco siege, the feds were the ones that made the assault. And, there are gestapo-like assaults by the feds happening right now on small businesses across the country. See here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8mkqI_dVJg

But, one thing I noticed, is that to come up with 40 to 50 agents to pull off these raids, they have to pull agents from all across the country. As such, I definitely think they are outnumbered, and they would definitely have to call upon the military.

I think it will boil down to what state you live in as to whether or not this would happen to you.

What is this “doorstep” fantasy all over the place? It’s silly to allow an enemy to fix you in an inescapable position

Dittoes.

FMCDH is a suicide gospel for people we cannot afford to lose. Engaging a trained tactical squad on your doorstep with your babies sleeping upstairs is romantic nonsense.

There are, well, let's say MANY soft targets on which the regime relies for its survival, the propaganda organs being first on the list. They cannot possibly cover them all.

If they mean to have a war (not yet totally clear, IMO), but if they do, let's hope more than a few of the patriots are familiar with Sun Tzu.

Just where is this arms infringement enforcement going to come from? The mandate to defund defense is on the horizon. The USA under Obama is destined to be a paper tiger. I really think the domestic gun debate is just diverting our attention needlessly. Consider the contentious cabinet confirmation hearings, debt debates, numerous investigations of corruption in the Obama administration. Not to mention that Biden is a mentally incompetent moron and that he will produce recommendations by next Tuesday. What's taking him so long? This is more like a comic book than a government.

Re: “Watch from a distance and do the mil-dot calculations in their head...”

While a drone hovering about 18000’ overhead is watching him, and feeding real time IR video and GPS coordinates back to the assault team on the ground. All they have to do is punch those coordinates into a mortar or let a C-130 gunship make an example of you in order to dissuade others from engaging in similar suicidal gestures of defiance.

Sophisticated weapons technology is going to trump a lot of Patriot riflemen, I’m afraid, when the ball comes down.

Most of us may very well may find ourselves on the edge of Masada in very short order.

This where Der Fuhrer's SS domestic security force will go to work. They will come with overbearing force to one house at a time. Resist and you're in trouble.....off to the Konzentrationerschlagen.

Thanks Jim. That reminds me of this:

The state and local government needs to be prepared and not wait until an incident occurs. They need to expect it. The rule of law by the constitution must prevail.

Clearly the UN. I guess you haven’t noticed their increased involvement with the help of this administration.

“If it’s that easy, explain Afghanistan.
You give too much credit to our government.”

That’s easy Johnny. It is the same explanation for why Nadal Hasan to this day is not considered to be a “terrorist” and why the comfort and feelings of terrorist prisoners are attended to with such solicitude in Gitmo and other prisons.

The obvious answer is that this administration gives them deference because he agrees with them. The indisputable fact is that the left in this country see conservatives, Christians and conservative/Christians as the actual terrorists - for whom he will have nothing but savagry and will show no mercy if permitted to prevail.

Incendiaries with delayed fuses the size of a Kennedy half dollar with adhesive backing can be made by the bucketload out of home materials. Wander walking thru major cities like Kwai Chang Caine, lighting up every target of even the vaguest importance to authorities. Obama’s sons decide it’s free stuff night at the dept stores as the fire and police depts are busy, and the forces set to neutralize us have to be used against their own constituents. Lots of ways to create mayhem in an irregular fashion. Might get everyone dusaffected by Zero, left and right, in on the revolution. Might get real popular to blame the administration and get evetyone together on something for once. Might even start a “conservative green party” to bring in some disaffected souls...save the whales while schooling them on Jefferson and Madison. Just a thought.

And I don’t even have any guns. I have a felony from fifteen years ago for busting up a robbery attempt. I was mean and unfair to the robber, who was innocent, because he didn’t succeed. I was guilty, because I sent him to the hospital. Crazy, huh?

That’s a cute story. You seem pretty creative and resourceful. I’m sure you find plenty of ideas to compensate for your lack of fire arms.

Nice job breaking up the robbery anyway.
