The left has always excelled at using cultural technology like this in its culture wars. It studies the mechanics of how people can be convinced of something with far more intense interest than any car salesman. It is not interested in winning the debate, but in rigging the debate. It does not want to convince you that it is right, but to change you into the sort of person who innately understands that it is right.

It is trying to program you. It has been doing so since you were born. It will go on doing it every time you turn on the television or set foot in a movie theater.

Daniel Greenfield needs to put pen to paper - write a book - a hard cover book - NOT just publish on the Internet. A common totalitarian move is to destroy the ideas of the opposition. Truth tellers and their musing would be the first to go... In our time - a time of on-line books and a paperless essays, it's too easy. A keystroke could destroy all vestiges of our culture - anything not written down in hard copy would be gone. We'd be back to word of mouth and hand written memories. The Gettysburg Address would survive. It's short and many people have momorized it. But the Constitution? Maybe enough saved 'copies' but even that would be at risk in a few years... It would be "bye bye' Animal Farm, 1984 and Orwell, Greenfield, Rush Limbaugh Leonard Cohen, Charlie Daniels, Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, Rush, Krauthammer, Hannity (ummm,not necessarily in this order.. and many many more).

It'll happen...or could. It's why Greenfield's giving us warnings - what to watch for - how to counteract it if the nightmare happens... We won't be the first culture to be overrun by power hungry elites... we would be the first group rounded up... Lessons to learn. Hope for the best - prepare for the worst... keep a hard copy...

A faulty product and more salespeople than workers...does the economy no good, but the government can fix all that, can't they? /s

The thing is, he should be writing *many* books because what he has to say on so many different topics is important, but he is in the process of writing a book - I think mostly about the Islamic takeover of the west.
