The Left Is Convinced Americans Won’t Fight For 2nd Amendment Rights
Once cowed at the thought of provoking Second Amendment supporters, leftists will soon attempt to ban “assault weapons” (and much more) as legislation offered by Dianne Feinstein makes its way to the Senate floor. It seems that D.C. liberals have finally become convinced that American gun owners are too cowardly, too lazy or too dependent upon the generosity of Big Brother to fight for their Second Amendment rights.
During the past four years, the gun banning-Left have watched as American buyers broke sales records in the purchase of semi-automatic rifles. Opting for these and other powerful, efficient weapons, it is estimated that some 100 million private citizens are now in possession of over 300 million firearms. And these numbers continue to grow with each passing month.
Yet it’s against this backdrop of America’s unprecedented determination to assert the fundamental permanence of Second Amendment guarantees that Diane Feinstein, Michael Bloomberg, Barack Obama and others will choose to implement gun bans, demand the federal registration of firearms, and even legislate outright confiscation.
Maybe Democrats are confident that fallout from Sandy Hook will provide the floor votes necessary to disarm the American people. But if the Left is willing to risk picking this fight with millions of American gun owners, it must also believe something far more important—that Americans who have spent years arming themselves against the ultimate expression of tyranny by their own government–the overthrow of the Second Amendment– will choose to not fight when the time finally comes.

IMO, the key point here is that the people’s complacency as their liberties have been confiscated has given the left to believe we will do nothing. Is that accurate? I don’t know. I fear it may be.
But...and this is the crux, because the left is 100% convinced the people will accept what they do, it means they will do it. Guaranteed. We can’t stop Obama from writing an illegal EO, we can’t stop Pelosi & Company from passing whatever they want in illegal legislation. If this is indeed the final line the people will not allow to be crossed, then they will provoke an armed rebellion. This is how wars begin. One side underestimates the resolve of the other and goes too far, not really intending to provoke war.
If they honestly believed Americans would forcibly resist, they wouldn’t do it. I don’t think they are capable of that sort of brinkmanship. But they truly believe people won’t. Guaranteeing a response of either capitulation or rebellion. I don’t see how there can be a middle ground.
If people had stood up to this despotism a long time ago, we wouldn’t be looking at such a scenario.

The Swiss can afford to have "reasonable" laws in that they have a reasonable society.
We must get ahead of this and be more aggressive. To start, we must change the terms of the debate, starting with the terminology. They’re Assault Deterrence Weapons.
That's actually a very frightening assertion. Many wars down through history have begun when leaders adopted the premise that "those guys won't fight." See Hideki Tojo 1941, Kim Il-Sung 1950, Leopoldo Galtieri 1982 and Saddam Hussein 1990 for just a few examples from the previous century.
Our political class, Democrat and Republican must be disabused of the notion that we will not forcibly resist an attempt to strip us of our rights and our property. It also shows how little respect our political class actually has for us.
I was thinking that some time this year I’ll invest in a bit of rebar and rustoleum. Then when I’m down at my shooting property I’ll cut the rebar into rifle weight sections, coat them with rustoleum and bury them at random locations on the 60 acre property. Then if I ever do feel the need to bury a cache, any curious feds will have a merry game of needle in a haystack.
I will add, “if the lib/progressives are so convinced, a good practical demonstration may be required”.
Nulifying the 2nd may be what the left wants, but they really deep down know it is not going to happen now. In another generation dumbed down and numbed with left promoted video games/TV, maybe, but I still say NO WAY until the gene or gender ID pool is completely changed.

Comment: There may be isolated instances of a few individuals "fighting" but, there is no organized opposition to gun grabbers. In addition, the left is too intelligent. The left will work on females, neighbors turning in neighbors and one by one seizure. Remember we are no longer a people but are merely a demographic.

And they are absolutely correct- in every single place that has compeltely banned them- gun free zones- gun free burrows, gun free districts etc NOONE HAS FOUGHT for their right to own a gun- they simply gave over their guns- It’s already happening- it has already happened, nd it will continue to happen and qwe WILL go the way of europe- qietly givign up our rights to own guns
Hannity asked his audience who’s names were otued by the newspaper for ownig guns=- if htey woudl give up their right to own guns and they all said ‘hell no’ however all their neighbors in neighboring districts who most l ikely emphatically said the same damn thing- silently gaqve up their rights to own guns- and these people will do the same damn thing- when push comes to hsove, they won’t risk goign to prison
King George the 3rd made the same error.
One liberal way to accomplish this (making white people disarm) would be to order White American Citizens register, give them numbers and check on whether or not they have guns (registered or not) and order them to either turn them over to the Feds or enter FEMA “reeducation camps” in their area, having already been established, presumably to hold illegals prior to sending back to the cities of their origin.
Just when will you fight? When all the true patriots are dead or imprisoned?
Hiding your weapons does nothing except avoid conflict, when conflict is called for.
