The Revolver of Reason: Reloading The Republic!

What do you call it when the bane of your political agenda is actually the source of your salvation? Hypocrisy! Barack Obama – our benevolent, omnipotent, and concerned despot – plans to stand amidst a group of young, quivering children as he unveils his sweeping and unconstitutional gun control measures at the White House. Tragically, there won’t be one of the over 60 million gun owners in America who faithfully exercised their Second Amendment rights last year without incident. Lost in the circus of contrived circumstance will be the realization that many of these forsaken souls bravely foiled and prevented crimes in countless towns just like Newtown. So why did our supreme leader just sign legislation granting his family lifetime armed security, only to attack our God-given right to bear arms and protect ourselves against neighborhood thugs and Government tyranny? Apparently not all families, or freedoms, are inherently equal.

For decades, progressives – a.k.a., Mr. Hussein and his fellow Left Wing Extremists - have sought to severely limit our rights and/or ban guns. Because their own writings and speeches corroborate this inescapable truth, it begs but one question: where was the outrage when Obama’s insatiable concern made no mention of the record number murdered in Chicago – including kids killed by common street thugs – which boasts the highest murder rate in the nation despite some of the strictest gun control laws on the book? Naturally the President wouldn’t want to embarrass his longtime confidant, Rahm Emanuel, whose crime measures have been a colossal failure and a clear anti-thesis to the liberal gun argument. “The Godfather” can’t keep guns out of the hands of common street thugs, let alone drugs out of our schools, but he expects decent, law-abiding citizens to lie down their own recourse and be left to the mercy of criminals? Right! That is textbook ignorance, or should I say, liberalism. Considering over 50 million babies have been aborted since 1973, and not one prominent liberal has voiced any tangible concern, I find such duplicitous cries for gun reform both callous and disgraceful.

What I find most disturbing about this entire political fiasco is that the most powerful man in the world – who is expected to be blessed with temperance, reason, and pragmatism – is willing to shamelessly exploit children in the wake one of our greatest tragedies, solely to shove his extremist plans down the throat of the American people; those, if he recalls, whom must grant such consent. These juvenile and deceitful tactics are insulting and reticent of old Nazi and Soviet style propaganda: yes, those same regimes that disarmed their populace before murdering millions of their own people. It has become painfully clear that our Commander-In-Chief, who has also fathered the worst economy since World War II and subsequently unleashed the lapdog media to convince the people of an economic renaissance, is nothing more than an anti-American Marxist who has nothing but contempt for our safety, the Bill of Rights, our very way of life. Honestly, I trust the fledgling Government of our forefathers infinitely more than any of those of our contemporaries. At least they didn’t classify “We the People” as the enemy, or bury our future with undue regulations. George Washington, John Adams, James Madison and Thomas Jefferson unconditionally recognized the Constitution as a limitation on Government, not individual rights; those same liberties Obama & Co. have repeatedly trampled on by depicting gun owners – Constitutionalists – as the outlaws of the republic. And you thought Star Wars was fiction? Yes, even I’m deeply saddened to report Emperor Palpatine is alive and well and is wagging the tail of the dog he ate.

If Barack Obama was truly dedicated to changing this ever-expanding culture of violence, rather than using Sal Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” as his blueprint for brainwashing the masses and unilaterally imposing a flawed, backwards ideology, he would have taken the time and proper discretion to ask the right questions. Why are we ignoring the undeniable and accelerated moral erosion of our society? Why is the American family becoming a relic of the past: a new age pillar of dysfunction and indifference? Why are more and more of our youth watching every kind of pornography before that fabled first kiss or date, as well as playing videos games that are overflowing with gore and homicidal fantasies? Why does liberal Hollywood get a free pass when stereotyping Right Wing America as the culprit for Sandy Hook and Columbine, when it is their work that incessantly pushes the acceptable boundaries of sex, violence, and every, conceivable decadence? Why did our Government, under the pacifist umbrella of Mr. Hussein, sell guns to Mexican drug cartels, only to deny responsibility when American and Mexican citizens were shot and killed? Why have we allowed progressives to dismantle our Judeo-Christian values and expel God from our schools – Separation of Church & State was never intended to exclude God, merely to ensure religious freedom – in lieu of glorifying abortion rights and promoting the “normalization” of homosexuality and gay marriage? (Yes, Ronald Reagan was absolutely prophetic when he declared, “When we are no longer a nation under God, we will be a nation gone under!”) And last but not least, should we even have to ask “why”? The so-called technological marvel known as modernity has been exponentially surpassed by our newfound ambivalence towards the status quo. Simply put, our moral compass has been replaced by the wisest and most capricious sage of them all: Magic 8 Ball.

Beyond the war room posturing and Orwellian propaganda, it has become increasingly obvious that society, not an inanimate object, is the sole harbinger of the truth. Guns are not the root of bloodshed in America, they are merely a symptom: a product of a detached, immoral, and broken people. A weapon – whether it is in the form of firearms, explosives or poison – is but a tool of ignorance in the hand of a culpable human being. A spoon doesn’t make you fat, a pen doesn’t misspell words, and a car doesn’t drive drunk. In other words, if someone truly wants to hurt or murder others, the weapon of choice is irrelevant, for such people will always find a manner in which to inflict their malcontent upon others. Human nature, no matter how hard Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi try, is the one variable that cannot be legislated or prevented.

Gun control is the liberal equivalent of euthanasia, selfishly ridding oneself of an inconvenience rather than treating the disease itself. And because leftists continually refuse to submit to any manner of moral judgment or authority – accountability for their actions – they will never admit to leaving their fingerprints at the crime seen. It is nothing more than a feeble ruse to deflect blame from their own shortcomings in order to achieve their longtime goal of disarming potential adversaries, and with it, the final lynchpin of uncontested subjugation. After all, if the President of the United States is willing to indefinitely detain American citizens without trail, refuses to pass a budget for the people he serves (which is required to by law), or threatens to personally raise the debt ceiling without Congressional approval, do you actually believe he will think twice about violating your natural born rights when enacting future decrees? Not a chance.

Progressives’ subversive obsession with disregarding the Constitution and stripping away fundamental rights – in light of 23% real unemployment, runaway debt, record welfare recipients, a housing collapse, and mass inflation – speaks volumes of their unparalleled allegiance to an insidious agenda, but most profoundly, to their complete lack of priorities. If Democrats were truly troubled by the current state of America, not suffocating capitalism with their own two hands and ensuring decades of dependence, crime and poverty, the Second Amendment would not even be a blip on their radar. Of course the media would denounce such “Right Wing” conjecture by saying Barack Obama – yes, they symbiotically speak for one another – only cares for the welfare of the children and wants to prevent similar tragedies. Ironically, if that was the case, the one salvation for the President’s “opportunistic” concern would be to simply arm security officers in schools across America. Why is it, again, police officers have guns? Or how about our military? It’s one thing to make firearms difficult to purchase to thwart potential spontaneous crimes, it’s an entirely different matter to deprive people of their liberty upon the supposition they may abuse it. In fact it’s unmistakenly treasonous. Statistics emphatically illustrate that criminals – just like tyrannical dictators and governments – prey on the weak and defenseless. Unfortunately for our President, those armed “with knowledge” of this great republic are fully aware that executive orders can be legally ignored by everyday citizens. Knowledge is the one revolver that cannot be disarmed or dismissed. And no amount of bullets, of lack there of, can “change” that truth. Vive La Liberte!

"What country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms." Thomas Jefferson

Let’s coin a phrase, “Citizen nullifacation,” for application to unconstitutional laws.
