The ad criticized Obama, not his kids.
But we all know how the Nazi’s minds work. Distract from the bigger issue by focusing on the smaller issue and kicking up a big ruckus. That’s just how they roll...
Between five and seven are listed as police officers and under DC law can be armed. The other "security" personnel can't be, at least under DC law.
Of course, Sidwell is split between two campuses with just on in DC and it's unclear the distribution of the 11, plus they're hiring another 'police office' position.
From even the Left's gun-grabber slanted "fact checking" I'd assume, yes, there's at least one armed guard at Sidwell campuses around the clock.
On that note, it is hypocrisy to suggest other school campuses should be gun free zone because they don't have the political elites children and grandchildren. Obama was dismissive of the suggestion and claimed Americans were "skeptical" of the idea.
Since we already know he wants to improve plans for first responders and make administrators aware of ways to handle gunmen, it doesn't make sense not to push to have at least one armed officer per campus if he's serious. That puts at least one armed first responder there immediately.
Is YOUR child more important than Obama’ kids? Are OBAMA’S kids more important than YOUR kids? But Obama’s kids, because of his position are threatened (Krauthammer). I guess other children, like those killed at Sandy Hook were not threatened, just killed. The NRA deftly points out this hypocrisy.
I think the hypocrisy of this regime needs to be pointed out and attacked on every issue at every opportunity, including this one. I believe one of the biggest problems the GOP has had in DC the past 4 years is that they have avoided doing so, for whatever reasons, and have ceded all issues to the ‘rats. I like that somebody has finally done it, maybe it will break the ice.
Yep. If the Kenyan and his minions thought this ad was hurting the NRA image he would not say a thing.
You sound defeatists - the NRA ad hit a big nerve by stating the truth of the elitist hypocrisy of Obama. Being polite doesn’t get our side any brownie points. We need more hard-hitting, truthful ads and more “You Lie!” moments if we really intend to fight. Else, all we’re doing is biding our time before total surender.

Weapon Makers See Danger in Cooperating Over Safety
Gun makers see a danger in working with the government that can be summed up in one name: Smith & Wesson.

Ben Kesling and James R. Hagerty contributed to this article.
The article is only available to subscribers.
In summary the writer speaks to the fact that a few gun makers have cooperated with the government and have been basically bankrupted when gun owners chose to no longer do business with them.
Here are a couple of quotes from the article:
“Led by gun-rights groups, dealers stopped carrying Smith & Wessons products, and buyers melted away. the company was eventually sold for a fraction of what Tomkins initially paid.
“If you think you can buy your peace with your enemy you are sadly mistaken and you will suffer a severe backlash from the consumer, one senior industry executive said.”

Repugnant and cowardly BUMP!
Well-stated, DesertRhino.
TREASON - in real-time, pre-meditated, in-your-face, unquestioned, abetted, unchecked, continuous, ongoing...
It would be highly entertaining to compile a list of known anti-gun Washington types whose kids also attend that school. Not very easy, because that information if often kept from public view, but not impossible.

“Better look at the polls again. 60 percent ban assault weapons”
Push poll results. When asked in a more straight forward manner, the support for further gun control legislation is at around 4%.
“and no I dont know what an assault weapon is either.”
That’s pretty clear. I doubt you know anything about any kind of gun.
“85 percent want background checks.”
More parroting of Obama’s lies.
“This seems like a lot more than just the far left.”
Sure, it even includes some gullible useful idiots that post on FR. Why are you on this site? It is pretty clear that you aren’t interested in truths or learning.
No more mr nice guy. enough mamby pamby stuff. I’m not beyond suggesting his own kids are rentals that he will return at the end of his presententcy.
