RICHMOND – It is the American motto – the premise the country takes pride in: If you work hard, you can accomplish anything, be anything. But for some who consider themselves Americans, the rule does not apply.
Undocumented immigrants who came to the United States as children face an obstacle when trying to accomplish their educational goals. When they graduate from high school, they must pay out-of-state tuition at Virginia’s public colleges and universities — a difficult feat since they usually don’t qualify for financial aid programs either.
“It becomes part of the expectation for young immigrants that they won’t be able to go to college,” said Robert G. Templin Jr., president of Northern Virginia Community College.
Six bills – two in the Senate and four in the House – seek to change Virginia law so that undocumented immigrants meeting certain criteria would be able to pay in-state college tuition.
“If these bills are passed, it would be a positive impact on the Hispanic community,” said Edgar Aranda-Yanoc, chairman of the Virginia Coalition of Latino Organizations. “It would allow immigrants who came to this country to pursue a higher education.”
The state legislation parallels a federal proposal called the DREAM Act, an acronym for Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors.

if a state that takes federal funds for ANYTHING, provides funds for illegals to attend its schools...
then that state is forcing ALL OTHER STATES to pay for the education for illegals as well, as we cannot opt-out of paying into the fed (...)
Their only choices will be out of state schools, or far more expensive private schools.
The members of the legislature who have made this anti-American and anti-Virginian proposal should be taken out and horsewhipped ~ now, will that be done? That's up to the Speaker of the House here ~ and it has been done before.

Law-abiding Americans must demand answers to these penetrating questions.
(1) Why are illegal lawbreakers given the protection of: (a) federal and state govts, (b) the Obama Admin, (c) the DOJ, (d) the US Congress, (e) other govt officials/workers/agencies and institutions?
(2) Are Obama and Virgina politicans acting on orders from foreign governments?
(3) Why was an illegal lawbreaker (a registered sex offender) given a job in US Senator Menendez's office ---- and is now being offered more protections and rights than law-abiding Americans?
(4) What are the penalties imposed on US and state govt officials for using tax-paid govt offices, govt resources, and govt authority, to aid and abet wrongdoing---and why are they not being mobilized?

This is unprecedented---a two-bit foreign govt aiding and abetting in undermining the constitutional freedoms of Americans and subverting the national security of a sovereign govt.
Americans have no govt defending their interersts----but every invader on our shores has TWO govts defending their interests---(1) vote-crazed pols in our govt, and, (2) Mexico (and Third World co-conspirators egging on the rest of the hyphenate invaders).
There's plenty of collusion and conspiracy going on and lots of secrecy. This must be stopped.
The Founders escaped foreign domination and structured the new American govt with safeguards to keep Americans free and safe from foreign domination.
All of the laws and legal measures are there but they are not being employed.
If doing such a thing is acceptable in a "red, conservative" state like Texas, why not a purple state like Virginia? /s
