The Coupon Whisperer: Couponing In The Age Of Obama

No specific couponing tips in this edition. Just a philosophical look at the art of couponing and why it is now an absolute necessity in the Age Of Obama and Big Government attempts to further separate you from your money. As many of you who previously pooh-poohed couponing are now finding out due to paycheck sticker shock, The Bamster has now reduced your monthly take-home pay by anywhere to at least $50 to $100 per month and the socialists now want to take even MORE. So how to fight back?

My answer is to make even greater use of couponing. The best way is to stockpile items you need and think of it as a way to counteract the government grabbing your paycheck money. Let me give you can example. This past week Publix had a great deal where you could get Colgate 6.4 oz toothpaste for FREE. The tubes are normally $2.69 each so if you picked up 20 tubes using coupons which might be what your family uses for a year, you saved yourself over 50 bucks or what the government might now be additionally taking out of your monthly paycheck. Repeat this process for other items you use such as body wash, frozen breakfasts, cleaning materials, etc. and you can stay financially ahead of what Obama and his socialist allies are trying to steal from you.

Okay, I fibbed. At the end of my blog I gave tips on how to score Jimmy Dean Breakfast Delights and/or Sandwiches for 90% off. And, please, no lectures about eating processed food. The most important thing for me is that it is CHEAP.

Thanks for the multiple pings. What’s been going on with that?

I don’t know. I hit the button only ONCE. I think the trick is to CLOSE the window right after hitting the “POST” button. That works when posting PINGS at the DUmmie FUnnies but I thought that was a function of having a PING list of over 1000. So I guess when it comes to posting PING Lists, size does not matter.

It’s not just you. I get multiples on all my pings and I know some posters who say it happens to them on smart phones. Not that smart I guess. Someone had about 12 multiples post a little while back.

Best way to prevent it is to count 2 seconds after you hit POST for your PING and then close the window. Then check it out to make sure you have only one PING posted. Works for me only I didn’t think I would need it for a shorter PING list.

Great advice - been living that way for decades, now.

Secondly, any ‘found’ money I get, such as a bonus at work, or a Christmas Gift card from my employer is immediately trned into something ‘stockable.’ Last year I bought 20 lbs. of rice & 2 HUGE jars of natural Peanut Butter.

Due to circumstances (0bama), this year I BOUGHT LIQUOR, LOL!

A few weeks ago I picked up 60 lbs of white rice. All FREE because of coupons.

Due to circumstances (0bama), this year I BOUGHT LIQUOR, LOL!

I used stuff that I got FREE with coupons to BARTER for several bottles of Grey Goose.
