America is much safer with Janet Napolitano in charge of Homeland Security. Taking advantage of the Nanny State Philosophy being imposed upon America, she can now advise us on how to survive the inevitable winter storms we are experiencing because of Climate Change with its myriad and unpredictable weather patterns.

Whether we are willing to admit it or not, America is experiencing winter, and with winter we must be willing to admit the possibility of winter storms, but don't despair, Janet, like the perpetual den mother who is concerned with her children, has now advised us on how to deal with winter, through Twitter:

During Winter Storms and Extreme Cold

- Stay indoors during the storm.

- Walk carefully on snow, icy, walkways.

- Avoid overexterion when shoveling snow. Overexertion can bring on a hear attack--a major cause of death in the winter. If you must shovel snow, stretch before going outside.

- Keep dry. Change wet clothing frequently to prevent a loss of body heat. Wet clothing loses all of its insulating value and transmits heat rapidly.

- Watch for signs of frostbite. These include loss of feeling and white or pale appearance in extremities such as fingers, toes, ear lobes, and the tip of the nose. If symptoms are detected, get medical help immediately.

- Watch for signs of hypothermia. These include uncontrollable shivering, memory loss, disorientation, incoherence, slurred speech, drowsiness, and apparent exhaustion. If symptoms of hypothermia are detected, get the victim to a warm location, remove wet clothing, warm the center of the body first and give warm, non-alcoholic beverages if the victim is conscious. Get medical help as soon as possible.

It is amazing, in this day and age of government buffoonery and incompetence, we still have someone with the presence of mind to advise us on common sense. The brilliance of advising the public to stay indoors during winter storms reflects sheer genius in the pure simplicity of the message.

With someone to advise us to walk carefully over ice and snow, we will all be much safer.

What would we do if we didn't have someone to tell us not to exert ourselves while shoveling snow.

How did we ever survive without the DHS. Maybe they should post rain storms as a drowning hazard, “DO NOT Stand in the rain looking up with your mouth open!”

I’m from Homeland Security. Please wear a sweater. You’ll catch your death of cold. Did you take your vitamins?

With the climate change indoctrinated crew in charge of most weather broadcasting these days, every 3 inch snowfall and 0F overnight is a major crisis.

All of that cold air comes through Canada first and it’s also colder up there. Ask the Canadians how they deal with it since I’ve never heard them complain about winter weather.

Don’t mock the rain. In the summer of 2007 we had massive thunder showers in San Antonio. People in my office were looking out the windows scared to death that something horrible would happen to them if they didn’t get home immediately.

Both my boss and I are from the east coast. We looked out the window, laughed and said, “want to go out for lunch?” People thought we were nuts.

It was later on I found out what all the measurement poles sticking out of the ground were for. Apparently we have flash floods that carry off cars. All of these people were concerned they wouldn’t be able to get home without being swept away by the water.

Well, don’t mock Big Sis. It was not aimed for your consumption.

Obamabots won’t know what to do if Big Sis hadn’t told them to tie their shoe laces before walking.

That’s funny. I’m from the East Coast also, having escaped here to DFW. In my first year here I couldn’t understand all the fuss over a little snow... closing the office due to an inch of snow? Yep, makes sense now.

They have to tell dimwits this stuff, since critical thinking has been eliminated from govt “schools”.

We do it straight and simple here:

Sirens INSIDE, GET OUT.
Sirens OUTSIDE, GET IN.

When it’s raining, put on your slicker.
When it’s cold, add a few layers.
When it’s hot, lose those layers and drink extra water.
If you hear shots fired at school, RUN, then HIDE.
And whatever your survival situation, Be Here Now is our mantra.

It’s not brain surgery here, yet we get to pay for this lesbo’s nonsense.

Tie your shoe laces before walking? That, along with “pull your pants up”, is something you’re not going to hear from Big Sis.

Damn, I have frostbite! White or pale appearance in extremities such as fingers, toes, ear lobes, and the tip of the nose, I have all that and more.

Life was much much harder before DHS. We didn’t know enough to go outside with gloves, a coat and a hat. Our fingers froze off and to this day we are without fingers. We used to walk on slick ice cuz we didn’t know better, thank you DHS for telling us, and we slipped and fell a lot, and to this day we still bear the pain of broken bones.

Today we need DHS and other mother-and-father-figures to guide us and warn us against the dangers in the world. Oh thank you DHS!
