After Leaving Fox News, What Next for Sarah Palin?
Yahoo Voices ^ | Jan. 26, 2013 | Mark R. Whittington

Posted on 01/26/2013 9:34:32 AM PST by Marcus

While the departure of Sarah Palin from Fox News as a paid contributor has caused endless speculation (as well as endless jubilation among her enemies) there are just a few known facts, according to the story in RealClearPolitics.

After some negotiations for a renewal of her contract, Palin was made an offer which was refused. The parting of the ways is said to be amicable.

That doesn't mean that some informed speculation is not warranted.

One of the reasons I’d love to see her run for President. But it’s a somewhat selfish desire on my part, as I’d just be wanting someone to support, rally behind, and actually offer a voice that genuinely represented me. Do I think she could win? Probably not. The country has just become too deeply corrupt and morally bankrupt to accept her kind of leadership. America is a decaying shadow of what it once was. The GOP will continue on with its worthless Christie/Boehner/Jeb/Priebus RINO ways, cowering and capitulating, and running interference for the corrupt ruling-class. I’m pretty much to the point I might even stop voting altogether. The ONLY reason I even bothered last year was to get out and pull the lever for Ted Cruz.

I agree, hope she does initiate a new “conservative” party. (Count me in)

The GOP treated her like a rented mule.

She gets a lot of backstabbing right here on Free Republic.

Just look to any Sarah thread to see some of the most vile things that have been said about her.

With Friends like that, Sarah don't need enemies.

Prime example this thread right here.

All the PDS trolls from Yahoo probably rushed over.

I hope she will announce soon that she is a candidate to be the next president of the United States.

Only if she goes 3rd party, otherwise the GOPe will destroy her. I wouldn't be surprised that the GOPe was instrumental in denying her the platform at FOX by persuading them to offer her a contract she had to refuse. Gov. Palin still instills fear in the hearts of those criminals at the GOPe.

Sarah had a chance to run, and she chose not to...I get it.

Not sure I'm really seeing what the big deal is here? She goes onto Fox News and preaches to the choir. And this helped things how?

Even the Left doesn't fear her any more. When they thought she was running, they were scared sh*tless, and attacked her out of this fear. She's almost off the radar anymore.

Sarah had her chance to help make changes by running for President and she chose not to. Going on Hannity and Greta did nothing to affect any changes.

This really isn't that big of a deal.

I think she’s have a great shot at a senate seat. It’s not the presidency but it would drive liberals and some of the trolls here crazy just to have her wielding power on an national level. It would be difficult for a challenger to beat her. Or congresswoman? We need her the country is so screwed.

Obviously, I was wrong last night. I thought she would have to say SOMETHING, but here she has said NOTHING and they are STILL going on and on and on. It’s funny.

Unlike Karl Rove and various loser Bushies who you no doubt idolize.

Maybe. Maybe not.

She has teenage daughters right now.

Could be, she took a vote at home and the results were:
Wait four years.

Then again, maybe not. :D

Fun guessing game anyway.

Hey, I definitely understand. I can appreciate her being sick of the attacks and wanting to focus on her family. I'm simply making the point that being on FOX News and preaching to the choir really didn't have any affect on anything.

Some FReepers were making the bogus assertion in past threads that Sarah being a commentator on FOX was going to really give the GOP a boost. Sorry, but Sarah's only chance to affect and make real changes would've have been if she ran for President.

As I said, even the Left doesn't fear her right now. The Left always tell us who they fear; and Sarah isn't one of them...anymore. Oh, and BTW, America will be toast in four years. We don't get a reset on this.

Well I respectfully disagree then.

Right now there are several GOP candidates I think the Dems variously fear.

I believe Sarah is one of them.

She will need to organize this run, if she runs, carefully and first of all decide whether to run in the GOP or a new 3rd party.

If a new 3rd party, I hope she starts that SOON, because of all the ramp-up time.

I think Sarah is very much a threat.

There are several others too. We are well positioned at the moment for the future.

Actually, I don't think we disagree as much as you think.

Right now the Left doesn't fear her (at least openly) because she hasn't made any announcements of what her political intentions might be. However, if she were to announce that she was thinking of running for a House or Senate seat, these Leftist maggots would be coming out of every dark crevasse to try and destroy her.

You've actually made my point better than I did. Sarah can make no real changes by being a political commentator. She can, however, definitely help make changes as an elected official.

This was my only point. Oh, and if Sarah ran for any type of political office, I'd be one of her biggest supporters. I can't tell you how devastated and angry I was when she opted not to run for the POTUS.

Big. Big. (Big) bump to your “devastated and angry” comment.

Right on.

You make a great point here.

Everybody (including El Rushbo) used to poo poo the idea of a third party, but with the actions of Boehner and McConnell as of late, I believe a 3rd Party could truly be a real possibility.

Since we're getting screwed by both the Dems and GOPE, I can definitely see a large number of Conservatives and Independents making a mass exodus from the GOP to a new third party. Actually, I believe the exodus from the GOP could be so significant, that the current GOPE would simply die, while the “new” party would take the old GOP’s place. Just a thought, but these are strange times indeed.

The only political power any of us conservatives have right now is leaving the party, or not supporting it financially. The RINOs have insured the destruction of our party. It's time for a change!

Good for her. But, if she wants to run for President, she needs to disappear for at least a year (like Nixon in ‘66/67) prepare, and then come out with all barrels blasting. If she continues to try to stay in the limelight, she won’t be taken seriously by the majority of the country.

Great minds think alike...albeit I'm a tad late to the party. I have a plan of how that can be achieved with the aid of financial backing from Sheldon Adelson, Charles Koch and his family as well as Rush Limbaugh. All three of them are Conservatives who have made good sums of money through creativity, hard work and faith in the free enterprise system.

The first frontal assault is to defund both PBS and NPR. Taxpayers are tired of funding these pro-commie, pro-muzzie sources that undermine America. Once those two outfits no longer suck at the teat of our fellow countrymen, the assets and capital of both will be available at pennies on the dollar for the three patriots to acquire. Even the initials can stay in place (to tweak liberals) but the branding is far different:

PBS: Patriot Broadcasting System
NPR: National Patriot Radio

The lineup will be 24-hours of Christian and Jewish Conservatism anchored by these Patriotic voices:

Sarah Palin: The centerpiece of the new pro-America network.
Jim Robinson: An advocate for grassroots activism.
Mark Levin: A scholarly voice for the Constitution.
Herman Cain: A pro-business advocate for free enterprise.
Rush Limbaugh: The 800 pound Gorilla of Conservative media.
Ted Nugent: Guns, guns, guns and killing your own food!

What's noteworthy is who will be excluded. Leftists such as Juan Williams, Geraldo Rivera, Dennis Kuchinich and Bob Beckel can be left to their little playground at Fox while the two Patriot networks, on a 24/7 schedule, triumph by articulating the Conservative, Judeo-Christian values that are at the center of the real America.
