Also inaccurately accuses veteran of seeking to take over the government by force and crowd of hurling racial insults.
Lee Goodman of Stop Concealed Carry was one of the panelists at the Chicago-area anti-gun forum featured in my prior post, Veteran stands up for 2nd Amendment at Chicago anti-gun forum.
During that event Goodman and Iraq war veteran Kevin Tully had a back-and-forth discussion of the 2nd Amendment. In a video I took, which now has over 160,000 YouTube views, Tully is seen calling for an end to partisan divide in the country, and giving an impassioned defense not only of the 2nd Amendment, but of 1st Amendment rights.
After the event, Goodman wrote a blog post titled Overthrowing the Government in which he analogized the audience standing to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to Nazi beer hall conduct (emphasis added):
"The Illinois State Rifle Association had asked their people who love their guns more than they care about other peoples lives to go to the forum. They showed up and, on a pre-arranged signal, interrupted the moderators introductions by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Theres nothing wrong with pledging allegiance, but this demonstration was designed to take control of the meeting and display their power. You may have seen something like it in movies like Cabaret and The Sound of Music, which chronicle how Nazis would intimidate patrons of beer halls and other public events by singing, saluting, scowling, taking names, and following up with beatings.
I was not there when the crowd stood for the Pledge of Allegiance, as there was a delay at the door getting in, but to compare this crowd of patriotic Americans standing for the Pledge of Allegiance to a Nazi beer hall Putsch is pretty outrageous...

Man, those black racists will lie through their teeth!
This event shows the importance of bringing a video camera to record public events.
And consider submitting your videos to Legal Insurrection.
And I thought these were some the very same types of people who deny the holocaust and the persecutions by Hitler!
I don’t think most Nazis thought of themselves as evil people. When the Nazis rounded up guns, for example, I’m pretty sure most of them thought it was a good thing. I doubt more than a few knew where gun control was leading.
That said, there are Nazi-like, i.e. socialist and totalitarian but not necessarily nationalistic, folks in power today. I doubt any of them see it that way. I’m sure they think they’re creating a better world.
It really comes down to this: everyone has an opinion on guns, but the US Constitution says we have the right to bear arms. If the gun control folks want to change the constitution, I won’t support a change to confiscate guns, but I’ll defend their right to lawfully enact that change should they have enough votes and states to do so.
On the other hand, we’ve seen the left pervert the clear meaning of the constitution time and time again over decades. Public use does NOT mean public purpose, as in making more tax revenue by handing private property over to other private owners, interstate commerce does NOT mean telling farmers what they can and cannot grow on their own property for their own consumption, and the power to tax income does not mean imposing all sorts of income fines if you don’t do whatever the government says. If that’s how far the left wants to go with guns, I say not another inch!
Pure projection from a REAL Nazi.
These people who want nobody entitled to bear arms can just move to countries already set up that way, like England or Nigeria.
Americans have the creator endowed right and freedom to bear arms enshrined in the United States Constitution, Second Amendment, reserving the right for citizens to keep and bear arms, among other rights, including the right to free speech and religion, to a trial by a jury of peers, the right to privacy and to peaceably assemble. Our rights are being trampled to death by the Jack Booted Democrat thugs pushing women to combat, gays to marriage, maniacs who murdered 50 million babies in 40 years, two generations of American babies lost in a genocide by Democrats murdering our unborn innocent babies, and meanwhile jacking up taxes with no representation on laws like making like the Obamacare catastrophe, blowing through the $16 Trillion debt ceiling like a hot rod through a school zone. Why even have the charade of income taxes when the government prints more than half the cash of what it spends? Why tax at all? Just print and Spend!! The economy is a shambles, millions are on welfare, America has triple defificits in government spending, in balance of trade, and in saving wealth, we are exporting our currency reserves, while the banks are run by criminal thieves. Houses are worthless, unemployment is rampant, physical violence, petty crime and race riots run amok, and people are living in fear. This will not stand, this sham of government will end in the manner that all egregious villainous governments have ended before, ignominiously.
Civil disobedience is the only way to start to respond to the gun grabber initiative by the elitist nationalist socialist political and financialist subjugator progressive communists. They have one agenda: subjugation by force. They intend to fully destroy our nation and freedoms, and have clearly announced their plans of subjugation. There is only one answer to a tyrannical government: end it by all means necessary -— such has been the lesson of history. It is your personal moral duty and ethical mandate to end government tyranny in your life.
The French resistance undermined nazi Germany. The Resistance has already begun in America. The Anti-freedom sumbitches are not safe anywhere, not even in Washington. Anonymous has their number and is already destroying them from within. Others are already organizing in very effective ways. They will win against the corruptors destroyinging America. We are not talking about election fraud response any more. These bastards have no mandate.
Operation last resort. The first battles are already underway. Your ally and your enemy are difficult to distinguish. The war for freedom in America is well under way.
We need a Joe Mcarthy
It’s gun grabbing cuckers like this jackass that make authoritarianism, totalitarianism, communism, oppression, fascism, and of course good ol’ Nazism possible. This mofu is a threat to Liberty. What a spoiled POS.
This shows (once again) that it’s not really about controlling guns.
GOD DENIERS AND CONGENITAL LIARS
ARE REDISTRIBUTE WEALTH INCITERS
IT’S FIRST YOUR MONEY THEN YOUR GUNS
AND BE DEFENSELESS WHEN CROOKS COME
This from someone who will goose step with the best of them when he hears the Leftists’ clarion call...
These peole can’t seem to help themselves,at some point they reveal their inner rot.Bet he got himself on a few people’s “To do”list too.
At least 5 people killed in shootings during bloody Chicago day
Oh, darn. It’s so sad when conservatives show up and are as pissed as when we show up at their meetings....
Sounds effective to me
Beats the piss out of letting the the domestic communists operate unscathed.
Anybody retarded enough to start a group called "Stop Concealed Carry" in the United States deserves a good beating at a minimum.
Well, this little Goodman twerp is very honest about his contempt for the Constitution:
Thanks to our country’s Founding Fathers, we retain our natural rights to defend ourself, and the Bill of Rights affirms our rights. So we are prepared and more able to defend ourselves, instead of having to suffer greatly and learning sadly about government crimes against humanity - crimes allowed because arrogant social engineers conveniently dismiss(ed) the nature of government.
Yet now come the police state fans of those hell bent to both a) infringe on our rights, as they over-react to events at Newtown, CT, and b) advance political charges against 10’s of millions of Americans who had nothing to do with that tragedy at Newtown.
Our Founding Fathers took into account, that government administration changes hands ... and the Bill of Rights would be necessary resistance against those hands declaring our rights to be “irrelevant” - as has Lee Goodman who advocates for more government power and hurls political charges as if he’s the prosecutor in a NAZI “peoples court.”
His chilling effect is aimed squarely at supporters of the Bill of Rights.
The entire Bill of Rights is in his way, thankfully.
"Ultimately, it is not only impossible to know what the Constitution was originally supposed to mean, it is irrelevant. What we need to keep in mind is what the Constitution was supposed to do. It was written to be the framework for a nation that would be governed differently from the way many other nations at the time were governed. It was meant to establish a relationship between the government apparatus and the people.
It was not meant to be the law."
The Constitution is ours - it belongs to the States and to the people who are American citizens. We created it. We can amend it.
We can amend it to utterly erase the turgid and wasteful tyranny that usurpers - *who want to relegate our Constitution to some museum of ancient legends* - wish to now quickly and forcefully end what limitations upon their power, our Constitution still holds over them.
The careless political egos (basically The Democrat Party for Lower Taxes Sub-Division formerly known as The Republican Party) ignore that - they can barely tolerate the fact, that it is our Constitution, built and founded upon *history* that *includes* law and legal events and precedence, but it is not exclusively limited to an understanding of only law, legal events and precedence.
Many of our Constitutions foundations, consist of building blocks constructed in response to events in history and modeled upon the lessons learned by such events.
So basically, as you read up on law *and* history, you *get* the essentials of both construction and maintenance required to preserve the principles by which government must be, and is, limited; such principles as original intent and enumeration of powers and human responsible agency.
The very same principles that you would be waving in the face of tyranny, in order to compel tyranny to step back; the very same principles that you use to restrain government and government agents, from their abusing the powers which *we* authorize thru our duly elected representatives sitting in legislative bodies, duly elected thru the democratic-republican process because *we are a republic,* and thereby we set forth the list of what government and government agents can do.
So much with which, we all must be equipped to protect and defend our people, our States, our Constitution, our liberty.
As it is with the operation of many types of complex systems that are made to run constantly and reliably, we have to always be training ourselves and others, in all the maintenance tasks.
Ronald Reagan had a long time to think about all this, and he was almost always communicating some piece of it: maintenance, maintenance, maintenance.
ick those pointy headed professor types who couldn’t dig a foxhole if their lives depended on it, and who wouldn’t defend their own mother from being run over by a tank are just reprobates and control freaks.
Please tell me you are kidding. Yes, all the Nazis knew they were bad and wrong. Why do you think so many of them had to be forced to “join”?
I’m not sure whether you’re serious or joking. Yes. There were plenty of people who voluntarily joined the Nazis. Most people have defense mechanisms so they don’t see themselves as evil. Plus, the Nazi atrocities probably weren’t obvious in the early stages. Remember that Germany had suffered terribly from hyperinflation, and the Nazis promised to make the country great. As they say, the trains started running on time.
As far as most leftists go, they must believe they’re doing good. Sure. Some of the leaders know the real deal, but there are plenty of willing dupes.
CHARLES OSGOOD, HOST: Is the U.S. Constitution truly worthy of the reverence in which most Americans hold it? A view on that from Lewis Michael Seidman, Professor of Constitutional Law at Georgetown University.
LOUIS MICHAEL SEIDMAN, PROFESSOR OF CONSTITUTIONAL LAW AT GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY: I've got a simple idea: Let's give up on the Constitution. I know, it sounds radical, but it's really not.
. . . the Constitution also contains some provisions that are not so inspiring ... Suppose that Barack Obama really wasn't a natural-born citizen. So what?
. . . we have to start making decisions for ourselves, and stop deferring to an ancient and outdated document.
