It's unfortunate, but not shocking, that every single Democrat in the United States Senate (with the exception of two abstentions) voted to give Muslim Brotherhood-controlled Egypt brand-spanking new F-16 fighter planes and M-1 tanks. What is shocking is that 26 Republicans voted with the Democrats and squashed the Rand Paul Amendment that would have prohibited the "the sale, lease, transfer, retransfer, or delivery of F-16 aircraft, M1 tanks, or certain other defense articles or services to the Government of Egypt." And if you want to know the names of the 26... just have a look...
Do any of these Republican Senators serve in your state: Alexander (R-TN), Ayotte (R-NH), Barrasso (R-WY), Blunt (R-MO), Burr (R-NC), Chambliss (R-GA), Coburn (R-OK), Cochran (R-MS), Collins (R-ME), Corker (R-TN), Enzi (R-WY), Flake (R-AZ), Graham (R-SC), Hatch (R-UT), Hoeven (R-ND), Inhofe (R-OK), Isakson (R-GA), Johanns (R-NE), Johnson (R-WI), Kirk (R-IL), McCain (R-AZ), McConnell (R-KY), Murkowski (R-AK), Portman (R-OH), Toomey (R-PA), Wicker (R-MS)
Hey, there you go promoting ACN again!
So.. what kind of advertising deal did you cut with FR for this privilege?
i’m disappointed johnson voted for this. he may view it more as a business thing than a muslim extremist thing, and that is very disappointing.
If one American or one Israeli is killed as a result of the use of these weapons, all of these a$$hats - including the Dems - should be jailed. I know, i’m dreaming, but just saying.
hmm ~ advertising concerns over rampant antisemitism in the US Senate ~ you do object to this sale, right?
Yep Lamoderate Alexander and Corkie the Dem are from my state.
Shouldn’t muslim brotherhood have to go through a background check before we give them assault weapons, or is just us?
I think the F-35 is getting a brand spanking, even though it is new.
I’m not surprised at many of the usual suspects, such as Collins (R-ME), Graham (R-SC), Hatch (R-UT), McCain (R-AZ), Murkowski (AK). But a few of them really are kind of surprising.
Mark Kirk should just change his party affiliation and make it official. He habitually sides with the Dims.
Hey, here you go disrupting a thread again with accusations instead of substance..
Freaking retard, how come you never do that when posts are from your buddies at CNN and MSNBC?
Ashamed of my (TN) two WEAK senators!
More giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
Mark Kirk is not a free agent ~ he’s avoiding assassination back in Illinois.
He has had a couple of votes lately that surprised me. It’s almost like he went over to the dark side.
When you are voting with the likes of Collins, Murkowski and McCain that should be his first clue that maybe he should think a bit more about what he has promised to do in the Senate.
The Democrats and Muslim Brotherhood are on the same side. The Republican Party is a wholly owned subdsury of the Democrat Party. Once one understands that it is not surprising at all.
Sad, but not surprised to see Isackson and Chambliss on this list. It seems I have to call their office every week now to advise them on how to vote. You would think “conservatives” wouldn’t need such direction.
I’ll say. A couple of these are actually shocking. How do these people think? I don’t get it.
On top of that, it was ron paul’s son who introduced this amendment. daddy must be poed.
Hey pimp, do you ever answer any questions posed to you or do you just pimp and run?
See the link I posted. No accusation. Showed my work.
The "accusation" is a fact and has NO bearing on the topic.
I love you too, Mindy.
how come you never do that when posts are from your buddies at CNN and MSNBC?
Do WHAT? Accuse them of promoting their own crap here?
They do that? Point it out, I'll be all over it.
Tom Coburn??? It really is over, isn’t it.
Care to comment on the content rather that ridicule the source?
Nah, you never do, you're not capable.
Take your disruption some where else.
and has NO bearing on the topic.
Duh, that's the point!
You fail to comprehend that you are being roped into an advertising scheme designed to present topics you agree with.
Mark Kirk has always been a Dim wearing a Republican cape.
The Lockheed Martin lobby is a strong one.
Coburn (R-OK), Corker (R-TN), Toomey (R-PA)
You disappoint me...
They are all Chuck Hagel.
Learn to add to a conversation, not disrupt it....hell, even you might learn something in the long run.
Any opinion on the content of the op?
Of couse not....
The 17th Amendment insures Democrat control of the Senate for years to come...
I applaud Mark Kirk’s recovery from his stroke; it took a lot of hard work, determination and guts to do that. So, we know Mark Kirk has some intestinal fortitude. Would he applied that strength to preserving the Constitution and saving the country. Unfortunately, he chooses not to. But, he’s from Illinois, and the people of the state know Kirk is a Dim in Repub clothing; had he had an opponent that was just a shade less tainted than Giannoulias he would have lost his senate bid. Hell, JFK could run in Illinois today and he wouldn’t stand a chance of winning, as he would be considered a right-wing extremist.
True. However I suspect it was because of Lockheed Martin.
Miss Senator ping
Apparently you are unable to grasp that you are being manipulated by a sympathetic topic.
If I faked up a blog and re-wrote (or manufactured) a story
with which you agreed - just to get some hits - would you support me?
The part that says no state shall be involuntarily deprived of its representation in the senate ought to be enough to simply remove a senator who has a stroke, brain surgery, heart attack, or severe gout.
The headline is dubious. Was this a gift, or a sale, of this equipment? It matters. I’d be against either, but it does matter.
Chambliss and Isakson truly must be idiots, uh... low information congresscritters. They either never read, or Jabba the Rove is their hero.
Good thing Chambliss is not running again. Isakson should follow his example; if he doesn’t, I can imagine those he claims to represent will show him the door.
You didn't answer the content of the op.
Is it false?
IIRC, it was buckhead, a fellow FReeper who has a blog and busted Dan Rather.
I guess your only sources are MSNBC and others that can be posted here, you NEVE scrutinize those sources, do you?
Buzz off troll.
Answer the question.
If I faked up some unsubstantiated crap, would you pay me some hits?
Come on AZ. Is this the best you can do?
column fodder PING wicker cochran
I saw some congress person on tv the other day and he essentially said that some of them voted for it because they looked at it as a jobs program.
The republican party has assumed ambient room temp...
Boehner and McConnell are playing “WeekEnd at Bernies” with it..
The cigar is lit and the shades look good but the party is dead..
I’m surprised that I don’t see Cornyn there.
So, the Obama Administration wants to give the Muslim Brotherhood F-16s and M1 tanks, yet this same administration wants to take away the constitutional right of Americans to keep and bear arms.
We are living in bizarro world.
Yes, my state had BBOTH senators voting for it. Chambliss and Isakson. It doesn’t matter if you write these guys. You get a form letter in response, then they vote their own intentions.
I agree. Those two lean more and more left all the time.
I wish we could recall them. Alexander is up for re-election in 14. He needs to go. He also supported Sotomayor.
About what I expected from those two. Wicker is just a north Mississippi Trent Lott and Cochran is just another go along to get along spendaholic Republican
