Why is government stockpiling guns, ammo?

BETWEEN THE LINES

Why is government stockpiling guns, ammo?

Exclusive: Joseph Farah examines Obama's plan for 'civilian national security force' Published: 17 hours ago

Is the U.S. government getting ready for a war we don’t know about?

And, if that’s why Washington is stockpiling massive amounts of ammunition (hollow points, by the way), why is Homeland Security doing the buying instead of the Defense Department?

I have some theories.

Many of you will remember a story I broke a long time ago – about presidential candidate Barack Obama’s little-noticed announcement that, if elected in 2008, he wanted to create a “civilian national security force” as big, as strong and as well-funded as the Defense Department.

Here’s what he actually said at a campaign stop in Colorado July 2, 2008: “We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

Want to make sure you and your family are fully protected? Check out our self-defense section in WND’s Superstore.

Could what we see happening now in the Department of Homeland Security be the beginning of Obama’s dream and our constitutional nightmare?

We’ve learned more about Obama’s vision since then. Maybe it’s time for a review:

Massad Ayoob wrote about the coming ammo shortage last year, but he has a different view on the reason, which may be the case.

GUN AND AMMO SHORTAGE COMING?
Friday, April 6th, 2012

“Much has been made of Homeland Security’s recent contract with ATK for 450 million rounds of Federal HST 180 grain hollow point ammo, caliber .40 Smith & Wesson. I don’t see that as a harbinger of martial law and civil war as some do. Being in law enforcement myself, I’ve seen the severe shortages that have plagued even police agencies in the last several years. The contract is for up to all those millions of cartridges, and may mean nothing more malignant than that a huge government agency wants a contractual guarantee that they’ll be able to get enough to train and qualify their people, even if their actual deliveries never come close to the top level to which that contract holds the manufacturer.”

Interesting.

Source says government ammo purchase story a disinformation campaign

Guns and Ammunition
August 25, 2012
By: Anthony Martin

New information has been received indicating that the widely circulated story concerning a massive ammunition purchase by various civilian agencies of the federal government is part of a disinformation campaign designed to “smoke out” citizens who fear that the government is gearing up for a confrontation with the public.

Snip...

But why would the U.S. government wish to create false purchase orders for ammo and then roll out a news story indicating that it had bought 1.2 billion rounds of hollow point bullets?

If the information provided by the source is correct, the answer could be that the exercise was implemented to see how such a story would play out among the general populace, particularly among those who are considered “government watchdogs.”

QUESTION: HOW MANY GUNS PROTECT THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT IN CHIEF?

When I was active duty, there was a minimum of about 30 guns around the POTUS, established in 3 "rings of security".
Senators and Congressmen in active service were assigned a minimum of 2 guns (men) each, and, when retired were assigned one each.
They carried large magazines of ammo and a minimum of 3 magazines each.

So how many gun that the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT IN CHIEF wants to outlaw, along with the magazines he wants to outlaw, does he have protecting him every day?

The United States Citizens KNOW that they're going to have to fight TYRANTS in their own government.

” Source says government ammo purchase story a disinformation campaign”

That has been my thought for a long time.
They desperately want another Waco or Ruby Ridge or worse.

Although they don't put a date on this article, it reads as though we just finished the 2008 election?

False purchase orders? I think not. However, it may be that someone is deliberately utilizing the IDIQ contract template (a recent innovation discussed in government contracting publications) for ammunition, because they know that it will spark these very discussions.

Check Russian history. Paying particular attention to the time frame from 1917 to1940.

Thanks for posting Sam Adams writings there...

I never cease to be amazed at such wisdom, and courage for that matter from this guy...

His phylosophy is almost identical to mine, and the only difference is that I feel I am no where near the intelligence level, or as wise as he ever was in his day...

Going back and looking at the original writings and seeing how they morphed into some of the content in our founding documents is just plain amazing, and should be plastered upon our reflections to this very day...

Something seriously lacking in our current crop of elected officials...

Every situation we encounter today is taken care of by the procedures and templates outlined in our Constitution and its Bill of Rights, and that through careful deliberation can be resolved by those ancient principles and procedures...

Trying to say that the original documents and procedures are not applicable to today’s issues is ASSININE and irresponsible!!!

Citizens today have lost their ability to apply courage and most important virtue to todays issues, and it has been replaced by lazyness, and “What’s in it for me?” mentalities...

How can we realistically expect to get that kind of virtue and courage from todays representatives at all levels of our political system???

Defending our Natural Rights is becoming passe’ and not socialble with some in this country, and a fight is coming real soon...And those we expect to fight for us are as much of the problem, and the problems we face...

When the people “really” and “truely” understand how much they have lost by allowing the government to infringe upon our basic, fundamental, unalienable rights to a “free state” of existance in this country, maybe then we’ll have the blessings from God we deserve...

At this point, we are truely doomed to repeating history, and becoming a big footnote to it...

Let's subjugate them to OUR end game, DUST!
"COMPROMISE" is a DIRTY word!
People who study the Bible know that COMPROMISE almost always leads to destruction.

It's time to mock the "Gun Control" Zombies!
"Gun Control" is a firm grip, steady breathing, accurate aim (developed by lots of practice), and a slow trigger pull.

I read a great article by Sheriff Jim R. Schwiesow, Ret. written February 4, 2011 from "NewsWithViews.com" and here's part of it.
Read Compromise Is a Dirty Word for Club for Growth.

Take a good long look at where "Establishment Republicans" ALWAYS take us.

The Swiss have got it CORRECT !
We need to learn from the Swiss and implement their "gun control measures" here in the United States right now, today!
These laws are the ones we should shove into the "2nd Amendment Haters" faces.

The Swiss have got it CORRECT !
Let's adopt THEIR LAWS !

Remember: Read Second Amendment: It’s Not About Hunting, IT'S ABOUT TYRANNY .

Interesting. IF Mas said that, then IMHO, he's being a little naive and more than a little ignorant. The order is for JHP ammo, not FMJ "Ball" ammo which is indeed a training round and costs a lot less than the JHP ammo. I shoot ball ammo at the range and for my IDPA matches .... But I load my primary and spare "carry" magazines with JHP ammo in case of a violent confrontation that I have no desire to make but will win if I must engage.
