I have long considered it ridiculous to report the political/social ravings of deranged murderers like Jared Loughner, the Tucson shooter. The salient point about these people is their derangement, not its ideological manifestation (ideology actually being too serious a word in these cases). And publicizing the ideological manifestation gives the lunatic a forum he doesn’t deserve.
I’ve also believed that the publication by journalists of the political ravings of murderers is opportunistic. That is, biased journalists seek political advantage by trying (often in the most attenuated way) to connect the ravings with right-wing thinking.
Confirmation of my latter thesis can be found in the handling of Christopher Dorner’s rambling manifesto in which he purports to explain himself. Dorner, it turns out, is a fan of President Obama, Dianne Feinstein, Colin Powell, Piers Morgan, Chris Matthews, Brian Williams, Soledad O’Brien, Wolf Blitzer, Meredith Vieira, Tavis Smiley, Anderson Cooper, and Ellen DeGeneres. Meanwhile, he reviles the NRA and Wayne LaPierre, believing that the latter’s advocacy warrants the death of his family before his eyes.
But, as Charles Cooke points out, “in the combined 3,240 words of the lead stories from the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and the Associated Press, there is no mention whatsoever of the political contents of Dorner’s screed.” To be sure, they all mention the manifesto, but not what’s in it, even in New York Times’ specific post about the document...

You can damn well bet if Sean Hannitys or Rush Limbaugh’s name had been in that manifesto that would have been the headline on every single broadcast..but since this murdering prick is a leftist who loves Obama they wont mention it
I initially thought that the LAPD didn’t want his manifesto published because it is embarrassing to THEM.. But an all-out effort to conceal Dorner’s political ideology is the REAL reason. The cat’s out of the bag though and it’s probably been viewed by a few million younger people who’ve also taken note of the media’s cover-up.

And the media would be demanding that Fox News apologize to the victims families, it would be all that you hear about, but since this sick freak watches MSNBC and CNN(Guess we know who their 5th viewer is now) they dont report on that..or that he loved the movie Django Unchained..hey I guess Chris Rock’s statement about enjoying shooting white people got into this guy’s head..will the media call out Chris Rock for what he said..nah of course not..Chris Rock is too busy calling Obama everyone’s daddy

Definitely. I agree with the author. I don’t think nutjobs should have a forum for their insane ramblings. However, the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party, aka media, never ever misses an opportunity to discredit the right. It doesn’t even have to be a criminal. Anyone who disagrees with any part of the leftist agenda is painted as a far right nutjob.
I wonder when Americans will wake up and realize they are being manipulated by the media. Nearly every movie, TV show, and news broadcast is designed to push an agenda and reshape America. Some in the media are so thoroughly indoctrinated they don’t even realize that they’re part of it.
Jared Loughner was a Leftist and Adam Lanza was an anarchist Communist. Does it surprise me this guy is “down with the struggle”, too? Leftist violence is on the rise!

In another thread a few days ago, I asked if FReepers could identify even one murderer (not a killer, since the Bible makes a clear distinction between the two terms) who was not a leftist. The span covered was the last 150 years or so.
In that time, every single presidential assassination (or attempt) has been the job of leftist. Although I certainly am not one who honors Martin Luther King, Jr., his murderer was nonetheless a Democrat. All of the innocents murdered in school, theater and shopping center shootings have been the work of a left-winger without exception. Need I add that the Unabomber is a dystopian leftist.
After searching our memories, there was only one we could identify as perhaps not a liberal: Scott Roeder who was responsible for the death of abortionist George Tiller. On the other hand, Roeder's wife claimed that he suffered from mental illness. In any event, among all the murderers of the last century and a half, just a single non-liberal was identified as a murderer.
The un-Christian hate that fills the hearts and minds of liberals often is manifested in the horrendous actions we've seen recently and in the past. Lacking any moral compass from Almighty God, these atheistic leftists can readily commit murder without a sense of remorse.
Propagandists always get what they deserve in the end.

We have been so browbeat by libs, we forget that when you strip away the spin and throw reality in their faces, they look like the fools they are. And if people had the balls to do the above without fail EVERY TIME, in public/with family/in the media, we would not have a liberal problem. Because they would be mocked by all but their own kind.
Not hired. Not befriended. Mocked.
The left has a near monopoly on higher education, government bureaucracy, and the media. It’s kind of hard to ridicule them when they deny everyone who disagrees a public forum. They speak of diversity, but that doesn’t include viewpoint. That’s exactly the point of this article. The media conceals anything contradictory to the cause. Honest leftists (there are a few), will even admit it, because they’re doing it for our own good.
It’s hard, but if we just keep being passive like we are, they will only take it to Nazi levels of intolerance. That’s their ace in the hole. They rely on our refusal to stand up for ourselves and fight them to the hilt.
Alynski Rule 5 works. We just need to turn it back on them. And since half the country is not fans of libs as shown in the last 2 elections, we have plenty who agree with us.
Pretty much like the other thread...History shows that a single person or handful of people can make all the difference, whether or not they are popular. The sheer act of standing up to be counted causes many to follow their lead. And since people are unfortunately sheep, they follow.
No one wants to stick their neck out. But whenever someone does, history calls him a leader of men and he makes the books.
Another thing that embarrasses the enemedia?
Dorner supports gun control and disarming the public. Ironic, huh? Here we have a crazed LEO with legal access to deadly weapons who wants jackboots like him to have all the guns, but not the public who needs self-protection from these idiots.
Dorner is a poster-child for liberalism run amok.
The corruption of the MSM is complete. Joseph Goebbles would have to take a backseat to these people.
Last spring George Stepawhathisface on ABC tested DNC campaign talking points in the GOP debates. Remember when nobody could figure out why he and Diane Sawyer spent severl minutes questioning the candidates about contraception?
A few weeks later the DNC announced “Julia” and the GOP “War on Women”.
These people at the big networks are the Obama palace guard.
