Isn't it neat living in a faceless, futuristic police state?

East Germany would have KILLED for just one of these things!

The primary suspect in this case would be the Oakland-area Alameda County Sheriff's Department, who recently released a statement
re. the department's (rapidly) evolving policy (-here-) regarding aerial drones, which they refer to in army-speak as an sUAS, or 'small Unmanned Aircraft System'...

Seems they're already rather-broadly approved within Alameda County for the following missions:

I`m thinking about getting one just for

checking the cows quickly at calving time.

Bet it will be used to check row crops as well.

A pretty cool invention for us that wouldn`t

abuse privacy of others.

There are many ways this thing could dangerous.

Airports,sub-stations,tank farms,ball games

fed building. I was taking pics for a photo class of the flags a block away (small city) and the guard came out to see what I was doing.

I like the sacrificial helo idea—set it with self-destruct pretty fireworks.

I wonder if some wit could create a “Drone Killers Club”, in which individuals with a hunting rifle with scope, hopefully silenced, a video camera, and a place of concealment, do their part to make such drone experiments and use as expensive as possible.

I’m sure some means could be found to edit such footage to make it untraceable, and to anonymously post it to the Internet.

In Britain, such saboteurs of road speed cameras have racked up a thousand or more “kills”. After multiple pages were posted showing burned cameras, the government had enough, and shut down the website. Impotent.

Or landing gear. Antenae could be smaller, and mor e effective if Oriented vertically. There was ashootin’ war with Oakland Gangs. Probably just keeping an eye on things.

“Makes a person wonder if Moslems in the US already have some form of weaponized drones that could say carry a biological agent into a theme park or something.”

FBI has already stung a home-grown jihadi, Rezwan Ferdhaus, who obtained two autonomous GPS-guided drones and scoped out an attack on the Pentagon and Capitol with the drones loaded with C4.
