This is just Head Start writ large, and Head Start is an abject failure.

The hubris of Obama to think a program dictated out of DC to educate a four year old will be more successful than a parent raising their own children...with their own values and ethics...

I think Medved made this point the other day on his show: why does Obama think that Washington DC has the only ideas that work...why don't individual states decide when and how a child needs to be educated...

After destroying the family these louts want to control the children they have left fatherless. Government makes a dangerous parent.

take that even further--why don't parents decide how their children ought to be educated?

My wife and I homeschooled our children...

Each state only needs to do a couple of things...

1. Set educational standards

2. Make sure every kid is being educated...

The rest belong to each school district and the parents...

Washington DC should have nothing to do with education...at all..

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

And what standard of education will the state use? It's standard? Well?...We know what that is! Answer: Illiterate and innumerate high school grads clutching diplomas they can't read.

The state can NOT “make sure” every kid is being educated when the state can't do that for the children compelled to be imprisoned in its own schools.

Obama knows plenty..........the federal government involvement in our educational system has been a stroke of genius.......for the liberals. They can dictate the curriculum, thus the outcome. What better way to gain early mind control of little kids in their formative years, than to turn them over to the government by having mandatory pre-school, paid for, thus controlled by the government. Just ask Karl Marx.

The state passes illiterates and innumerates from grade to grade all the time. Far too many are even awarded high school diplomas. So? Are the state's standards illiterate and innumerate?

Every other day Obama has a radical new plan for the American people.

No one should be surprised or shocked, though. He's sticking strictly to the marxist/fascist agenda....no deviation, no faltering.

Some agenda items may fail, some may succeed. No matter....he's still ahead of the base line. Time to tackle the failures later. He will plow ahead.

Failures beset Marx, Lenin, Mao and other ideological sociopaths, but they steadfastly bored from within and conquered vast realms.

This agenda is all outlined in Karl Marx' "The Communist Manifesto" and Barack Obama's latest release...."Dreams of My Self".

Yes. Hillary and her feminist constituents also pushed for federally funded daycare during the ‘90s.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the public school experience we find FAFSA , Free Application for Federal Funds. Get your loan here for college for a mere 6+%, a figure that is going up in the future to possibly 14%.
EVERY High School student must fill out an application. Principal’s evaluation depends on this, and yes they can track this.
Don’t want to go to college, plan on enlisting, dropping out ,illegal alien...ALL MUST FILL OUT THE FAFSA.
Federal dollars at 0% loaned out at 6+%. Good deal for the feds. Bad deal for the students who can access the funds via their PIN #.
This is somehow linked back to funding Obama Care. Not sure just how but will find out in time.
Mostly urban districts now but probably coming to you school soon. Follow the money to the base of control. Federal.....

Class spin-meister strategy.

Snow people under with your plans and just keep on moving so they don't notice how few of them end up getting enacted.

My wife and I have homeschooled our children right from the get-go. We’re now going on fifteen years, with another eight or so until we’re done.

All the state needs to know is that my children’s education is none of their business.

As others have already said, you’re still barking up the wrong tree.

I find it troubling, if not damn amazing, that now that many years ago, an 8th grade eduction was all anyone really needed to make the U.S. as great as it is (was).

How far down the ladder has the U.S. slipped since the teachers unions and the DoE came into being?

My wife teaches 4 yr old preschool - most of them are not ready for school at that age. The ones with 2 parent homes whose parents read to them and teach them at home do fine - the rest are wasting their time and money. A law banning birth outside of marriage would do way more good than mandatory preschool.
