>>If you’re wondering why officials engage in a “no-call.”<<

That is what got cheating thugs like the dirty birds all the way through. Once they knew they could play like in “Longest Yard” it was weapons free and mug the offensive players throughout the playoffs.

I am surprised they didn’t put a cast on lewis and have him closeline running backs.

>>This permeates pro sports. I remember Michael Jordan pushing a defender with his forearm, then hitting the winning “open” jumper against Utah in the playoffs. In the nba there is a lot of accommodation to the star players.<<

Jordan could start from under the opposing basket and slam dunk it without dribbling the ball once and never get called for travelling.

And Jordan could gamble till the cows came home, and get away with it, unlike Pete Rose.

I think iverson and Jordan brought in the era of the three step move

No expert, but I got the impression that this was being called for the Ravens to win as a gift to Lewis on his retirement, similar to the way the game was handed to the Steelers a few years ago so Bettis could go out on top.

Any game where a big deal player is retiring after I will now watch with a very jaundiced eye.
