Reduce the Regime’s Leverage Over You: Get Off The Healthcare Grid
New Rhodesia Dispatch ^ | 2/20/13 | John deWitt

Posted on 02/23/2013 10:16:56 AM PST by LibWhacker

A major element of surviving and thriving for an American Rhodie is identifying: in what ways and how strongly can the Regime exercise leverage over me and my Tribe? If the Regime can hurt you, that’s leverage. If you need the Regime, that’s also leverage. To that end, briefly consider the following facts:

1. In ObamaCare, the Regime created impossible-to-refuse incentives for all health care providers to acquire and deploy electronic health care record-keeping systems. 2. The Regime has built and deployed a gigantic server farm for the NSA in Utah capable of storing and searching virtually infinite quantities of data. 3. Sophisticated software programs allow micro-targeting of voters based on demographic and consumer patterns.

Where this is going really couldn’t be more obvious. All Americans (Rhodie and non-Rhodie) who aren’t living like Thoreau or Chris McCandless will need health care. And now the Regime is going to know absolutely everything there is to know about the health care consumption, diagnoses, and (hence) health care needs of all Americans.

The triple cocktail of EHRs, the NSA, and micro-targeting will make it child’s play for the Regime to subdivide Friends who have health care needs from Enemies that have health care needs.

I’ll clue you in here: the odds are really high that if you are reading this and don’t work for the NSA (or other FedGov agencies with ammunition stockpiles that make me and other FreeFor Rhodies look like the Cub Scouts at merit badge camp), you will be considered an Enemy with a health care need.

Health care has been and will continue to be rationed – the only question is “how”? Historically in America, because we can’t all afford concierge service at the Mayo Clinic all the time (and to be clear, I’m OK with that), it is often rationed by price. In parts of the health care system that aren’t price-rationed, access is rationed by time – long waits for the ER, long waits on transplant lists etc. ObamaCare is not going to increase the supply of health care available for consumption in America. By removing many of the price-rationing mechanisms, it will become necessary to substantially increase use of other rationing mechanisms for health care access.

One non-market rationing approach would be to create some “objective” measurement of a patient’s social utility and allocate health care access accordingly. Another approach that I think will be much more to the Regime’s liking will be “social justice” as an allocation tool. This will be a nifty way to divide the patient pool into pro-Regime “Friends” (who will get health care access) and Rhodie “Enemies” (who will get slow-walked or red-taped or co-payed or not-medically-necessaryed).

Many of us have read Bracken‘s books (see also his essay warning about “Free Stuff”, which would of course include Regime-delivered health care). In the spirit of the EFAD trilogy, how hard is it to imagine a not-too-distant future in which in order to receive RegimeCare, you need to disarm, be chipped, and move to the FEMA-controlled zone?

Please take action now to reduce the Regime’s future leverage over you and your Tribe. Do everything you can to avoid a situation where you must choose between needing health care you don’t have, or surrendering to Regime control.

Even if the New Rhodesian health care system doesn’t continue rapid decay and/or outright collapse under the weight of insane bureaucracy and gross inefficiencies due to the absence of transparent pricing and uninternalized externalities, what is left of the system won’t be available to Regime enemies – and that means you.

Start planning now for a future without access to the health care system as you have come to know it, and start operating accordingly. This means, inter alia, serious attention to nutrition and exercise. It means identifying alternative sources of health care outside the Regime system, and it means saving up for medical “tourism” to locations outside New Rhodesia. If you need a joint replacement or an orthopedic procedure, get it now before ObamaCare is fully implemented and they begin to exercise their growing capability to use health care as a weapon against you.

It’s not “fast food” any more, and it’s not a “mini mart”. You should think of it, respectively, as “Regime Food” and the “Regime Mart”. Exercising freedom in your nutrition and exercise to reduce your current and future dependence on Regime health care is just as important a Resistance activity as firearms training, food stockpiling, reducing spending, reducing debt, avoiding taxes, and building real assets outside the Fed/Regime financial system or offshore.

I don’t know a lot about alternative health care options (such as nurse practitioners you can pay in cash) or medical tourism, but I intend to find out more. (One resource I’m already reading is here.) Readers, if you can contribute ideas and options, please do so by comments or email (jdewitt1787 [at] gmail [dot] com).

This is really important stuff, Rhodies. If we don’t stay healthy, we can’t stay in the fight. If we can’t keep our children and grandchildren healthy outside the Regime’s health care systematic weapon against us, we’re not going to make it to long term victory. For Rhodie human capital to win, there need to be some Rhodies around to carry and transmit that capital.

Reduce Regime Leverage! Eat healthy and exercise today – be a Resistor!

This is John deWitt signing off for the American Resistance. To all the American Rhodies out there, God Bless, and goodnight.

I’ve been saying since Obamacare passed that the best and brightest in the medical field will set up offshore, likely in the Caribbean, to cater to wealthy Americans who want to avoid the Death Panels.

Those enterprises will also provide some useful job opportunities for capable grunts.

Got my eyes opened when one provider offered to bill me $500 via insurance or $180 cash.

John DeWitt needs a reality check, as he is using gmail, that divulges every word in each message to anyone who can pay for “marketing tools”.

This is a reality I’ve been pondering. Started to look into alternative diabetes care yesterday morning, before reading a thread about Laurie Roth’s news that Obamacare means that senior diabetics are being denied coverage of their diabetes meds.

Looks like maybe I need to get as much testing done ASAP - stuff that HAS to be done by the medical community, and should be utilized while it is available to me - even while checking into alternative ways of managing diabetes. What’s difficult is the money crunch. They know they have to milk us dry of money at the same time as we need to be preparing for what they’ve got in store for us.

A question I have: If a family bought with cash a small piece of remote farmland on which they could camp out in the event of a catastrophe like an EMP attack, would that land be taken away if the economy fell through to the point that we couldn’t keep paying on our home mortgage and had to do the bankruptcy thing?

That has not been my experience. Rather, many doctors have a cash "rack" rate that they then negotiate down to the insurance reimbursement rate that they have negotiated with their insurance carriers. In fact, the agreement between the medical provider and insurance carrier often prohibits the medcial provider from charging a lower rate to cash customers and if the provider is caught (under the agreement with the insurance carrier, the provider is subject to audit), then the insurance carrier may assess liquidated damages against the provider and reduce the insurance reimbursement rate to the lower cash rate going forward.

Interesting question. But the problem with lawlessness is it is a two-edged sword. After an EMP event, or some other such disruption, there will be a period where law will be either nonexistent or will be used so selectively by the regime it will express nothing but the personal appetites of whoever has jurisdiction-by-force in your neighborhood. After the initial crisis, if the Marxists come out on top, I would expect them to apply contract law exclusively in their own favor. Under Marxism, your property belongs to the hive, and only the hive. Double whammy if you lose title under both systems. IMHO, the only safe place to ride out the storm is somewhere completely off the radar. Should it come to that, we will each need God to help us find that place. Because really, there can be no place safer than the center of God’s will.

On second reading, I think I misunderstood your question. You’re asking if seeking a bankruptcy shelter due to default on your principal residence would expose other assets to forfeiture. I don’t do bankruptcies, but I think that is possible. Depending on the form of bankruptcy, your creditors would form a line to get at your assets. Since the remote farmland is not your principal residence, there would be no homestead protection. It’s more complex than that, and the rules have changed a lot recently, so is have to do more research to give a better answer. Just don’t count on anybody playing nice with contract obligations.

The challenge for me, in getting into “survivor mode”, is that it doesn’t seem like there really would be any place that was safe. With heat-seeking radar and butterfly drones they can find and kill whoever they want to kill, and the ones they want alive are the ones who will bow to their purposes. Their corrupt buddies. I fight with the thought that Adolf Hitler has been put in power, and we little people who still love freedom are all Jews. If we’re going to be spared it will be through divine intervention only, from this point on.

Unless whole communities start preparing in advance, somehow. Start using a different bartering system than US dollars, and make sure that their community has the basics necessary for everybody, and delivery systems that don’t require electricity or gasoline.

I think of Joseph telling Pharaoh that there would be 7 good years followed by 7 years of famine. If God had not given Joseph that dream and made sure that he was in a position of trust with the Pharaoh so that the Pharaoh listened to him and let him prepare properly, the loss of life would have been tremendous. Unfortunately, the “Pharaohs” who are supposed to be protecting us despise all us little peons and won’t listen to any of the warnings we’ve been giving. Sigh.

But God will take care of us, somehow. He’ll give us the strength we need, to face whatever comes our way. I have to concentrate on that or there will be no hope to hold onto.

Been paying out of pocket for HC for eight years now and couldn't be more satisfied. My plan of care is asserted betwixt my doc and yours truly, not some mindless headset-wearing-by-the-policy-manual drone shivering in some cubicle in MN who couldn't give a fat rat's butt about me, only the bottom line.

They'll squeeze NOS delivered, no matter how vital, if it saves the payor a few cents. If they don't reject treatments outright they'll delay, dispute, demand endless documentation, and delay some more hankering to tucker out the provider into giving up pursuing just reimbursement. And they're incentivized to do just that. No thanks-- not fair to the practitioner or the purported beneficiary.

Retain major medical/catastrophic if you must; probably wise, just choose carefully.

God also determines the time when someone should leave this world. Perhaps, for a lot of people, this will be the time that God determines they must leave.

My children, husband, and I are prepared for that also. Right now nothing is secure except the Lord Himself, and death can’t really hurt us after all because it brings us face to Face with Him who loved us enough to pay the penalty for all our sin. Obama may think he and his thugs are pretty powerful, but the worst they can do to me is a one-way ticket Home. I guarantee the outcome for me will be better than either the earthly or eternal outcome for them.
