The GOP needs to fire Karl Rove, bring back American jobs, and they will be spectacularly successful.

So far I see no indication they are doing either.

First, you can’t fire someone who doesn’t work for you so firing Karl Rove is not an option for the GOP. They need everyone they can get. But the Roves in the party are the Country Club Republicans, like the Bushes. I like George W., he did a remarkable job with virtually all of the Ruling Class against him. But when he ran you knew that using the term “compassionate conservatism” meant that he believed that real conservatism wasn’t compassionate. And you know what? It isn’t. An ideology has no feelings like compassion, people do. But the end result of Conservative principles is a better life for the poor while the end result of Liberalism is endless poverty. The dividing line between the Ruling Class who call themselves Republicans and Democrats is not the size of government but who gets to run it.
