A Californian can’t buy a gun in Reno and leave the gun show with it. If you are from California, you have to have a California FFL dealer transfer the weapon and wait 10 days. This is whether you buy from another Californian at the Reno show or someone from Nevada or Idaho, wherever.

A person from California cannot legally buy a handgun or a long gun at the Reno gun show and cash-and-carry it driving back to California.

Can’t be done. The article is wrong.

I won’t speak to curios and relic rifles. C&R long guns may still be cash and carry, I don’t know.

People have purchased ammunition etc., and things needed to legally make guns for their own use, and transported them to California.

Who knows what will happen if the laws become more extreme. Also who knows what is happening outside the legal channels. It is still a relevant development.
