Thanks for posting! It is still as true as ever. I am so hacked off at Congress. There are only a few good men and women these days, and the number seems to be dwindling. Some who ran as conservatives, are not, after all. We have a lot of work to do. We need to do a better job vetting these candidates, and we need to take about 10 more states this next election. If we can get more states to refuse federal money and take back their powers, government will be off the backs of many more citizens. Never completely, but we can force a change from without Washington DC. We’ll probably never change it from within. We need to pray, and we need to reall become educated in regards to the candidates that are announcing.
Shery, I've practically lost all faith in our corrupted national electoral process. We may be able to get a handful of true conservatives elected to represent us in D.C., but I have little faith that we can do more than send a squad to do battle against an army.
Washington has become so corrupt, that nothing short of a revolution can clean it out. More and more, I'm feeling that it's time for individual states to seriously consider their own sovereign status under the compact of states, and to take a good hard look at what that sovereignty really means for their people.
It's now come to the point where the real and present danger is located in the nation's capital. Governors and state legislatures need to begin flexing every bit of muscle they have, to protect and defend their people from that threat.
I'm talking about baring some real fangs here, like formal declarations of intent to not comply with certain federal regulations, mandates, laws, etcetera, where they violate the Constitution and the spirit of the Declaration of Independence.
We truly need to take the fight to the next level, and it ain't at the ballot box.
