Skip to comments.Karl Rove's declaration of war on conservatives will bring the GOP a slow and agonizing death

The Republican establishment is still trying to blame conservatives for last Novembers disaster.
The phonies of the Karl Rove Wing of the Republican Party didnt get it then and they still dont. They are fooling themselves by refusing to look at the numbers. The GOP just doesnt understand that asking us to vote for a Republican because he is not a Democrat doesnt fire conservatives up, and the stupid fools think they can win without conservative support.
For conservatives the road to settling on a Republican presidential candidate had many ups and downs. Nevertheless, almost to the very end Mitt Romney was at the bottom...

We need to figuratively beyotch slap this pillsbury D’oh boy. someone like Sarah Palin or Colonel West needs to take him aside and caution this POS RINO.
Farewell Grand Old Party; hello Tea Party and Oath Keepers!
Joining the Tea Party with the Oath Keepers would make a dynamic party that could literally beat the pants off all the socialists, communists, homosexual pedestalizers, baby killers, politically correct bull crappers and especially the likes of the current denizen of the White Hut.
We might then get some serious slashing done on the central socialist government. Get rid of all the GSs and throw entire agencies into the Potomac.
FEMA and HSA and FED and IRS and DOE, etc. etc. etc. could all be closed, the phone lines ripped out, the computers scrapped and the doors and windows boarded up.
Now that could be some real fiscal responsibility that NO ONE in the diseased District of Columbia ever talks about!
The DOD needs a complete overhaul that would eject all the politically correct generals and the civilians who do the work that uniformed military personnel should be doing.
That's hilarious, as author Kevin "Coach" Collins blames the evangelicals!
....clearly the vast majority of Evangelicals stayed home on Election Day. They werent dealing with a storm or a personal family emergency. They stayed home because they made a conscious decision to allow our Marxist enemy to continue ruining our lives rather than have Mormon Mitt Romney as our president. They draw their grounds for such a twisted thought from their interpretation of the Bible which they take literally except of course for the part about handling poisonous snakes thats where a more modern interpretation of Scripture takes hold. The Evangelicals hatred of Romney burns so brightly it blinded them. Self- flagellation and a willingness to aid and abet a clear enemy became preferable to them consequences be damned.
-- from the thread Evangelicals plunge America into darkness mislead polls and stay home on Election Day
Fox News needs to drop Rove like a hog potato.
Fox News needs to drop Rove like a hog potato.
While ROVE is an uncompromising bastard with respect to his ideological war with conservatives, I do not believe that he is so stupid to believe that should he win over conservatives and keep the GOP that the GOP will win-over Mexicans, etc. because the GOP is now ‘more compassionate’ and embracing Mexicans with amnesty and citizenship.
He knows full well that Obama and the unprincipled Democrats can outbid any sleazy concessions the GOP might deign to offer.
I really believe that he’s just a rotten bastard who is out to set up a big-money group, and steal as much as he can from it and use that money to get above the disasterous financial debacle that is coming to this country. Just a money grubbing SOB.
"Coach" has a remarkable talent for stupidity (having tried to previously blame illegal aliens for bubonic plague, which is endemic to the region, in the American West); there's little evidence ANY Evangelicals "stayed home" on Election day, much less "the vast majority." Even adjusting for population growth, Republican turnout in Arkansas was higher in 2012 than in 2008, for example. A bit hard to accomplish that if most Evangelicals are staying home.
Who is doing a damn thing towards getting something done with the Party? Nothing worth a damn. At least Karl Rove is thinking and doing something ahead of 2014. I may not agree with all he is doing, but at least something is being done other that the usual GOP talking points. Getting damn tired of this old GOP shi!. We have to quit talking and do something.
You wish to make Karl Rove irrelevant?
Just make Obama president for life, then we don’t need Rove! /sarc
I disagree, at least in part. Rove has to be taken out of the equation, true enough. But we cannot depend on people like Palin and West. The public views them both as losers (and rightfully so; after all, they both suffered losses within recent memory).
What we need are tea party candidates who not only CAN win, but who HAVE won.
Rove and his ilk gave us McCain/Romney for the past 2 elections. He might as well have made zer0 president for life.
Palin was on the losing side because of McCain. West was gerrymandered out of his district.
The liberals/progressives hate the republicans because they are republicans.
The rest of us hate the republicans because they aren't republicans.
What can you do with that? Nothing, so they hire Karl Rove to fix it?!? Seriously? Like I said...lost cause.
Yep, sounds about right.
Conservatives will split off and start their own party, which will take a decade or two to get up to speed with the Dems. Meanwhile the RINOS will wither and die on the vine.
If Rove had been a general during WWII, he would have told everyone to grab a spear and form a phalanx. He’s out of touch.
I’m thinking third party.
Primaries. That's the key.
Primaries are key to success. It starts with good local Republicans from city/township board, to county commissioners, to state reps/senators, to congress/senate/governor. If we want conservatives in higher office, we need a good farm club.
I have the best congressman in the state. Tim Walberg. He didn't just appear out of nowhere. He was a state rep. He's also a Republican so keep in mind that the 2% from third parties punish good people like Walberg as much as a bum like Romney.
Nah...it was the freaking moderate republican VOTERS who gave us McCain & Romney by out voting the conservatives in the millions. There is no way Romney wins nomination if the conservatives presented a united front. But Newt & Rick & Perry fought each other instead of uniting behind a single candidate.
No. We did not offer anything else to the Republican voter because we allow asshats like Karl friggin rove to keep the Republican Party, Dhimmicrat Lite.
And we lost those presidential elections because 8000000 conservative voters stayed home on Election Day after being screwed in the primaries by the Roves of the party
Got to give it to those friggin Dhimicrats. They give all to their base. The RINO party tells its base FU, base.
The democrat party is not homogeneous. It is a conglomeration of rich white liberals, African-Americans, union members in government and private sector, homosexuals, women’s lib, new immigrants, Hollywood, poor whites on welfare, poor non-whites on welfare (twice as many whites on welfare as non-whites overall), eco-freaks, man made global warming believers, women who want abortion at any time, community organizers, and a whole bunch of other miscreants.
That is a formidable group and it is growing! No wonder democrats have ruled the congress for 3 times as many years as GOP Over the last 60 years.
If someone told you conservatives can win majority in congress all by themselves, they lied to you. A good conservative can win now only if they are an astute, smooth, politically savvy, and have plenty of campaign cash. That is just the reality. Look at how many great conservatives have lost recently...Todd Akin, Richard Mourdock, Sharron Angle, Christine O’Donnell, George Allen, Joe Miller, Ken Buck, Doug Hoffman, JD Hayworth...etc.
Why did they lose? Most were bad candidates politically.
Good politicans who are conservative have also won elections. Such as Pat Toomey, John Boozman, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Roy Blunt, Kelly Ayotte, John Hoeven, Mike Lee, Ron Johnson, Jeff Flake, Ted Cruz, Deb Fischer, Scott Walker, John Kasich, Rick Scott, Nikki Haley, Haley Barbour, Bobby Jindal etc. Most of these folks preached inclusive message, following Reagan’s 11th commandment. I have not heard any of the winners disparaging moderate republican voters.
Observe and learn and become wise, or bury head in the sand and become an ostrich. Choice is ours.
TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE NOOB! Wake Up!
Losing the base is what the Republican Party has done to lose elections.
I believe you are at the wrong website and Entropy is a good name for you and the Republican Party.
I think you have a point regarding disparaging.
That doesn’t mean moderate your values but instead of disparaging, we should educate. We love to eat our own, why not feed our own our values and use it as an exercise in marketing so we can then expand selling them to the left and converting more.
We get no where disparaging.
Ah, when one can not debate on issues, resort to the Joseph Goebbels tactic....personal attack!
You got it brother. I have voted for the most conservative candidate who is electable since 1970 when I was fortunate to acquire US citizenship.
You will never ever catch me disparaging any republican VOTER. I am quite combative during primaries in support of my candidate and pointing out weaknesses of the opponents. But once primaries are over, I act mature & wise and do not take my marbles home if my candidate loses.
