How America Is Becoming A Police State
Whistleblower Magazine ^ | The March 2013 Issue

Posted on 03/04/2013 5:53:16 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

News reports that the federal Department of Homeland Security is stockpiling billions of rounds of ammunition have prompted many Americans to ask: Just who is the government preparing to go to war with?

To radio talker Mark Levin, the answer is that “our society is unraveling” and DHS is preparing for “the collapse of our financial system, the collapse of our society and the potential for widespread violence, looting, killing in the streets, because that’s what happens when an economy collapses.” Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin agrees, saying, “We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.”

But all this, dire as it sounds, is just the tip of the iceberg. As WND’s acclaimed monthly Whistleblower magazine documents in its March issue, “HOW AMERICA IS BECOMING A POLICE STATE,” one major way Barack Obama’s “fundamental transformation of America” is manifesting in the changing face of law enforcement – local and state, but especially federal.

The signs are everywhere:

Drones are flying overhead – not in Yemen, but here in the U.S., above your house, perhaps photographing you. The FAA anticipates 10,000 domestic drones in the next few years, and at least one police chief has publicly announced he wants to arm his drones with tear gas and rubber bullets.

Meanwhile, the Transportation Security Administration, having traumatized countless air travelers with its signature nude X-ray imaging and invasive pat-downs of ailing grandmothers and crying 3-year-old handicapped children in wheelchairs, is now expanding from airports to bus terminals and subways.

Even local police forces increasingly resemble an occupying army...

They are not preparing for "social unrest," though they do want it.

The "social unrest" is just cover for murdering as many of us as possible.

It’s not just the billions of rounds - it’s also that they are hollow point rounds.

Then there’s also the 2,000+ MRAPs that we recently learned DHS has. What are they for? It’s not like IEDs are a problem over here in the U.S.

I see rioting as a result of the economic collapse of the US, but primarily in major cities. Those of us in flyover country will get along OK. What I fear is that Obama will use the DHS to implement a gun confiscation and is anticipating armed resistance. I am confident that most local law enforcement and particularly the US military would not open fire on US citizens, but would likely turn their guns on the oppressors in Washington.

Re: 2700+ MRAPs and 1.6B+ hollow point bullets

And your government dares ask why anyone would need what they expansively call an assault rifle!

Citizens aren't to "be allowed" high-capacity magazines, like those which each of their DHS stormtroopers will surely have.

They don't want to control gun violence, but rather they want to control otherwise law-abiding citizens that may become incensed at their anti-Constitutional actions.

What part of "shall not be infringed" do they think they can eradicate with impunity?

If, before they are killed, every American gun owner takes out at least one jackboot in the course of the agenda 21 blitz on our Warsaw ghetto then they will run out of goons in a couple of days and then we can hang those who gave the orders. Some of them are banksters living in Europe.

The fedzilla is buying all this war material to protect the oligarchs from the people. That they have ordered several years of ammo and now use targets with pregnant women, children and old men on them as viable targets tells US that these criminal bastards KNOW the collapse will arrive as they’ve planned it, so they are using our tac dollars to build up their defenses from US. Look for the oligarchs to retreat to their perimeter controlled island fortresses protected by the ‘domestic army’ they are building and arming. What happens in the big cities and the suburbs is of no importance to them because it sreves their agenda to erase a few million of us with chaos, starvation and mayhem.

“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

— Barack Obama, 2008

I don’t see why the acquisitions of weapons, armaments, and ammunition for DHS is at all surprising. President Obama said he was going to do this, and Americans elected and re-elected him.

Well, I suppose it is unusual for politician to deliver on a campaign promise.

Fundamental transformation via the democratic process. This is what American voters wanted, and that’s what they’re getting.

Yeah, we sure beat those jihadists in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, the Southern Philippines and Pakistan with those missiles, didn’t we? BTW, Hellfires are over $55,000 a piece and are in limited supply. We had every kind of jet and propeller military aircraft in Vietnam with early smart boms. How did that work out for us?

The more pertinent question is, “What good can a handgun do against a Hellfire missile?” Answer: Not much.

There is yet another, more pertinent question. How many of those Hellfires will be launched until there is nobody left to launch them?

A supervillain with a superweapon is always succumbing to a hero. It pleases us to be so. But it is also the law of nature. There is only one such guy left on Earth; he is a dictator of North Korea. He is alive only because he doesn't bother any of his neighbors. Historically speaking, we saw many such supervillains, and they often had superior weapons. Those suprevillains are all dead and buried.

In this case, a Hellfire missile requires several important factors to be just right. Such as:

  1. The target audience. You are supposed to be sitting at home, watching TV and not expecting a Hellfire in your window.
  2. The intelligence about the target. Your neighbor, or an assigned police watcher, or another drone, has to track your whereabouts.
  3. The availability of the missile. Their stock is not infinite, and you can be assured that not many more will be made when the extent of the domestic carnage becomes known.
  4. The availability of the operators. Most of them protect the Constitution, not a wannabe dictator. Those who support the dictator, please see (11) below.
  5. The orders. Not everyone in a long chain of command wants to become a war criminal. The commanders are all highly educated military specialists, and they understand that their chances of "winning" this war are not more than zero. When they are done, the new Nuremberg trial will be underway, and there will be many foreign countries willing to lend a hand, for their own reasons.
  6. The Congress. However mad they are, they aren't likely to authorize a large scale war against their own people. This alone will give the military all the excuse they need to delay the war. If the Supreme Court also opines that it might be not a good idea to kill americans left and right, then the orders from the White House are null and void.
  7. The competence. The White House cannot solve much easier problems in peace conditions. Why should we expect them to exhibit characteristics of a genius when it's war out there?
  8. The sabotage. If the military cannot refuse the orders that came down the proper chain of commands, they can mess them up. (The term SNAFU was born during many training exercises for that event, I guess :-)
  9. The opponent. Returning back to the first item on the list - the opponent is not very likely to sit quietly and expect the missile. Many of the high value opponents have military background themselves and know what to do. There aren't enough Hellfires in the whole world for all the low value targets.
  10. The country. This is a very large place. You can hide in cities and in forests, in hills and in deserts. No Hellfire will find you there. If the police finds you, the Dorner's case shows that they will pay dearly for that mistake. The attacking side always has more losses than the defending side. Even one to one exchange is unacceptable for the attackers; however the defender can always take one terrorist down with his first shot.
  11. Mutual proximity of both sides. Both the population and the terrorists will be living in the same cities, driving to work on the same roads. Short of locking themselves up on fortified bases, the terrorists will not survive for long if the population knows where they live. If they do lock themselves up, I suggest they have plenty of stockpiled food and water, lest they get a pinch of rat poison in their chow. No convoys with food and munitions will get through to them. A MRAP can protect them from IED, but no MRAP, as far as I know, can levitate over destroyed portions of roads. An airlift is yet another level of cost and complexity; the choppers need the fuel anyway, and it has to come from somewhere. There are no underground pipes from refineries to bases, AFAIK. If there are some, they are vulnerable.
  12. The money. The US government needs lots of money to wage war, especially because all raw materials and most of electronic components come from abroad. What are the chances that China will keep propping up the empty shell and lending money to the paper tiger? China will do well if they switch sides at that very moment. I cannot imagine any country in the world that would support the US government from that point on, for the same reason - it has no future, win or lose.

I'm sure there are more interesting factors to discuss. But if we focus on Hellfire, the first one will be also the last one.

I understood your post. If Hellfires won’t work to win a war in a desert, how well will they work in an urban, suburban or rural first world country. No war has ever been won from the air. There’s a reason for that.

What's hilarious is that the Left is smacking Sarah Palin around for suggesting that this ammo being stockpiled by DHS will be used against the American people.

If the Left is saying that DHS WON'T use it on the American people, just who the hell do they think DHS will use it on?

And I was convinced that Republican governors would be the last line of defense against Obamacare by refusing to participate and overwhelming the federal system with the population of their states. Now more and more are rolling over like ten dollar whores. (apologies to the prostitutes of America for the unfavorable comparison to politicians).

Clear out the percentage of soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen who absolutely won't fire on Americans. Threaten the rest with courts martial, loss of pay and loss of retirement benefits and you have a military willing to kill any rebels disobeying Washington. And as shown by local cops' actions, I doubt they would even require many removed or threatened for the same results.

Be on the look out for loyalty and psychological tests for the military. They will be a sign things are going to go very badly very soon.

You have not been paying attention. The oligarchs have built several ‘sites’ where food and water and fuel and perimeter control are stored and waiting. It is the cities where the residents will be upon one another. The oligarchs will be safely hold up and protected, to wait out the slaughter by starvation, disease, and mayhem.

Well, here’s the difference though... Americans, other than those in the military, aren’t fighters, and as such won’t be used to having their homes and family members splashed with missiles. That’ll cause a jarring effect they’ve never experienced before. You don’t need to win a war from the air... a few strikes will achieve much for psyops’ sake.

There are roughly 320 million people in the United States so there are probably 100 million residential dwellings here. How many missiles do you think the Federal government has? Hint: It ain’t even a million, or 100,000. Hosni Mubarek and Colonel Gaddafi had missiles, why are they not still in power?
