How America Is Becoming A Police State
Whistleblower Magazine ^ | The March 2013 Issue

Posted on 03/04/2013 5:53:16 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

News reports that the federal Department of Homeland Security is stockpiling billions of rounds of ammunition have prompted many Americans to ask: Just who is the government preparing to go to war with?

To radio talker Mark Levin, the answer is that “our society is unraveling” and DHS is preparing for “the collapse of our financial system, the collapse of our society and the potential for widespread violence, looting, killing in the streets, because that’s what happens when an economy collapses.” Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin agrees, saying, “We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.”

But all this, dire as it sounds, is just the tip of the iceberg. As WND’s acclaimed monthly Whistleblower magazine documents in its March issue, “HOW AMERICA IS BECOMING A POLICE STATE,” one major way Barack Obama’s “fundamental transformation of America” is manifesting in the changing face of law enforcement – local and state, but especially federal.

The signs are everywhere:

Drones are flying overhead – not in Yemen, but here in the U.S., above your house, perhaps photographing you. The FAA anticipates 10,000 domestic drones in the next few years, and at least one police chief has publicly announced he wants to arm his drones with tear gas and rubber bullets.

Meanwhile, the Transportation Security Administration, having traumatized countless air travelers with its signature nude X-ray imaging and invasive pat-downs of ailing grandmothers and crying 3-year-old handicapped children in wheelchairs, is now expanding from airports to bus terminals and subways.

Even local police forces increasingly resemble an occupying army...

They are not preparing for "social unrest," though they do want it.

The "social unrest" is just cover for murdering as many of us as possible.

It’s not just the billions of rounds - it’s also that they are hollow point rounds.

Then there’s also the 2,000+ MRAPs that we recently learned DHS has. What are they for? It’s not like IEDs are a problem over here in the U.S.

I think drones are worth 1M points and blue helmeted state police forces should be worth 1K points. It’s fun for the whole family.

Not yet. But apparently someone in the Goobermint thinks they will be at some point in the future.

I've wondered how I will die... the likelihood is growing it'll be by taking rounds to the head attempting to fend off government attackers on my home and family. It beats a slow death by cancer, I suppose...

Defending a fixed position attacked by overwhelming force is not a good plan.

The more pertinent question is, “What good can a handgun do against a Hellfire missile?” Answer: Not much.

Sure, it isn’t a good plan, but the overwheming force will strike like a thief in the night.

I see rioting as a result of the economic collapse of the US, but primarily in major cities. Those of us in flyover country will get along OK. What I fear is that Obama will use the DHS to implement a gun confiscation and is anticipating armed resistance. I am confident that most local law enforcement and particularly the US military would not open fire on US citizens, but would likely turn their guns on the oppressors in Washington.

"DHS is preparing for “the collapse of our financial system, the collapse of our society and the potential for widespread violence, looting, killing in the streets"

Why ? The folks engaged in murder and mayhem are their own strongest supporters.

Re: 2700+ MRAPs and 1.6B+ hollow point bullets

And your government dares ask why anyone would need what they expansively call an assault rifle!

Citizens aren't to "be allowed" high-capacity magazines, like those which each of their DHS stormtroopers will surely have.

They don't want to control gun violence, but rather they want to control otherwise law-abiding citizens that may become incensed at their anti-Constitutional actions.

What part of "shall not be infringed" do they think they can eradicate with impunity?

If, before they are killed, every American gun owner takes out at least one jackboot in the course of the agenda 21 blitz on our Warsaw ghetto then they will run out of goons in a couple of days and then we can hang those who gave the orders. Some of them are banksters living in Europe.

The fedzilla is buying all this war material to protect the oligarchs from the people. That they have ordered several years of ammo and now use targets with pregnant women, children and old men on them as viable targets tells US that these criminal bastards KNOW the collapse will arrive as they’ve planned it, so they are using our tac dollars to build up their defenses from US. Look for the oligarchs to retreat to their perimeter controlled island fortresses protected by the ‘domestic army’ they are building and arming. What happens in the big cities and the suburbs is of no importance to them because it sreves their agenda to erase a few million of us with chaos, starvation and mayhem.

“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

— Barack Obama, 2008

I don’t see why the acquisitions of weapons, armaments, and ammunition for DHS is at all surprising. President Obama said he was going to do this, and Americans elected and re-elected him.

Well, I suppose it is unusual for politician to deliver on a campaign promise.

Fundamental transformation via the democratic process. This is what American voters wanted, and that’s what they’re getting.
