"Back in the Nineties, everyone was worried about militias and survivalists, who lived in what were invariably described as “compounds,” and not in the Kennedys-at-Hyannis sense. And, every so often, one of these compound-dwellers would find himself besieged by a great tide of federal alphabet soup, agents from the DEA, ATF, FBI and maybe even RRB. There was a guy named Randy Weaver, who lost his wife, son and dog to the guns of federal agents, was charged and acquitted in the murder of a deputy marshal and wound up getting a multimillion dollar settlement from the Department of Justice. Before he zipped his lips on grounds of self-incrimination, the man who wounded Weaver and killed his wife, an FBI agent named Lon Horiuchi, testified that he opened fire because he thought the Weavers were about to fire on a surveillance helicopter. When you consider the resources brought to bear against a nobody like Randy Weaver for no rational purpose, is it really so “far-fetched” to foresee the Department of Justice deploying drones to the Ruby Ridges and Wacos of the 2020s?"....

Why is it the people who declared 'waterbording' torture or exclaimed G.W. was all for 'Blood for Oil' now support killing citizens on our soil? MSNBC had 78 percent of veiwers saying it was OK---do they think they won't be targeted???.......... HA!

It's only OK if the president is a democrat. Everything comes down to politics for these idiots. We will see how fast they change their minds when republicans are pulling the trigger.

I’m all for reminding people of Ruby Ridge and Waco, but a couple of things bother me about such a line of thought. Firstly, such assaults on the citizenry happen every day in the name of the Drug War. Maybe not on the scale of Waco, but plenty big enough for us to notice. Secondly, if not a couple of crimes twenty or so years ago, everyone knows about the Civil War. Whenever I hear anyone questioning whether fedguv will have the will to pull the trigger on civilians I want to scream that they already have killed US citizens in the hundreds of thousands, and caused incalculable millions of dollars in property damage. Duh.

As true as your observation is, most just can’t seem to get their arms around that fact.

There are also lots of assaults that destroy families and businesses that don’t entail violence and therefore draws no media attention. The Reese family for instance. There has been a decades long silent FedMob campaign against the citizens of this country.
