Left Connecticut to serve in military and see the world. After 40 years, no reason to return. They turned my Danbury Fair into a lousy mall. No more Saturday night stock car races.

#17 I believe that Ruger only has corporate offices remaining in Connecticut. Their manufacturing is in Prescott, AZ.
Then, to my mind, they have even less excuse to stay if they're not moving any machinery.

Not only would they find a cheaper labor force if they moved south, they would find thousands of people who know and love and respect firearms, and as a result, quality would be high. If they locate near a major military base like Ft. Benning or Parris Island they could tap into the retired military job pool as well.

Glad to hear it.
Sad for the workers but happy for the country.

Read the article, which seems to imply that this was a business decision a long time in coming. The article mentioned closing a plant back in 2010. Maybe the business owners saw things coming down the road and decided to move out a little at a time. What do you think?

“Marlin’s production is in NY now, alongside Remington. Reportedly, the quality of the lever guns has suffered as a result. “
Who could possibly have predicted THAT?/s

I’m sure that Colt, willing to sell the hangman the rope that will be used to kill them, will gladly sell all of those evil 30 round magazines to DoD and DHS.

I don't hear anybody yelling from the rooftops “ Do you believe that the gangs in our major cities will register their guns? or limit their clip sizes? Or even care if there are new gun restrictions?”
Who's telling the American people that!

Mossberg’s CEO made a lot of people angry over past two weeks. They shut down comments on their Facebook page referring to his statement regarding the NRA. I don’t expect too much out of them anytime soon.

NC has been infiltrated by libs, just like Colorado.
They would be safer choosing SC, a right to work state firmly in Republican control.

Sorry. Looks like my previous link was old news. Darn. Would be nice to see a major maker shaking the dust off their shoes in one of these socialist states for political reasons.
