background checks sound like a reasonable idea but not only do they not work well but they are unconstitutional.

‘our founders obviously knew that guns could be mis-used, but they deliberated and took the decision that it is far better for a free society if its citizens retain the right to arms. They provided that... that right cannot constitutionally be infringed.

it is time for some Congress-critter to introduce a bill to implement this per the constitution, instead of allowing our federal government to slip further and further away from its proper purpose in society.

Incidentally, we don’t see the Congress=critters or other WashDC politicians walking around without defensive arms, do we?
