There is no question that rank-and-file gay couples of all political stripes are sincere in their desire to enjoy the benefits and status that come with marriage. There is no sinister agenda at work in the issue of same-sex marriage among the masses. But the same cannot be said of the organized left who have always intended to use the issue of gay marriage as a vehicle to destroy the Christian Church and marginalize Christians.
Faithfulness to the Bible and the Christian faith will very soon be declared bigotry by the media and a de facto civil rights violation by the State.
What is currently happening to the Boy Scouts of America at the hands of the organized left is nothing more than a trial run for what is surely coming next against the Church. The small ball has already begun: lawsuits, harassment, and media campaigns against those who preach what the Bible says. The Big Leagues, however, don't launch until the State lights the torchfor the witch hunt, and that has already happened in the state Washington.
Although America's most protected right is freedom of religion, that didn't stop the state attorney general from filing a suit against Baronelle Stutzman, a florist who said it was a "violation of conscience" to service a same-sex wedding.
JD Bristol, attorney for Arlenes, said his client has many customers and employees who are gay and the claim that she is discriminating on the basis on sexual orientation is nonsense.
This is about gay marriage, its not about a person being gay, Bristol said....

No state sued to make the performers play at the Boy Scout Jamboree.
yup...it has never been about inheritance rights and tax relief it has always been about making people approve
It's even more than homosexuals making people approve. It's the Left finding a way to take down private civics groups...like the Boy Scouts and conservative Churches, both of which are organizations outside of the government, and the Left's control....
Just as the National Socialists in Germany (the Nazis) banned all unions...and youth-organizations (and so many other private groups), but their own (and then required membership...), so as to firmly establish the totalitarianism, so too the Left in the USA wants to marginalize and minimize any and all opposition to total government control (especially of the next generation...youth.)
So this issue is much bigger than just homosexuals.
Otherwise, why would the full power of the left be so utterly committed to the homosexual agenda? Do they really love that less than 4% of the population that much? NO. It's all about control...of everyone, and suppressing religion and traditional families.
They already control the public schools, but they know to stomp out morally principled opposition, they must get rid of all conservative influences...especially religious and moral youth organizations....
I would really like to see the US Supremes shoot this kind of thing down once and for all. Free exercise of religion...takes precedence over a "right" to sodomy--or faux "marriages" built on perversion.
Why is Washington State’s newly elected Democrat Attorney General Bob Ferguson wants to spend precious taxpayer money to persecute Christians says much about him. Washington State’s $2.8 billion budget deficit does not need a screw ball attorney general frittering away costs of a legal fight for pet vendettas. I know this one is going all the way to the Washington State Supreme Court.
The florist is saying that providing the floral services to the gay men was something she was not comfortable doing because of her religious convictions. Florists for weddings are many times asked to set up the flower arrangements inside the church. It would be like a Christian portrait photographer being asked to provide boudoir photos of a woman who wanted to pose in the nude.
Not any more, not since November 4, 2008. We are facing imminent danger of exceptionally grave damage to what used to be a free country.
It’s interesting you mention the Supreme Court. Years ago, the Supreme Court upheld the right of the Boy Scouts to ban homosexual scout leaders. But the liberals have behaved as if that case never happened.
If a court decision is in line with what liberals want, then they revere the courts. But if a case goes against liberals, then they pretend the case was never decided. The Boy Scouts have continued to be sued in various places over their alleged “discrimination”, even though the Supreme Court has upheld their right to set their standards.
I have been amazed that nobody ever calls out the left on their persecution of the Boy Scouts, and the fact that the Dale case upheld the right of the Boy Scouts to set standards which exclude homosexuals.
I am also sadly amazed that the Boy Scouts continue to get sued over and over, and that judges in these other lawsuits never dismiss the cases using the Dale case as legal precedent.
