That one was a real gungrabber. Police invaded homes looking for guns, no-knock no-warrant. Snitch hotline posters were all over the city (”Report an illegal gun, and you don’t have to give your name!”)

The question should be, why in the name of (pick one) do you and I not have one, and have ridiculous anti Bill of Rights requirements and cost that make it damn near impossible to have one.
The 1986 law limits the number available so that it would be virtually impossible for everyone to have one, and that is unconstitutional. Like that has anything to do with it.

If the DOD’s 1033 program provided 17000 police Dept’s fully automatic M16’s I sure would like to know where Connecticut ended up.Since we’re told that we shouldn’t need a semi-automatic sporting rifle.
