A former CIA spy who had once been embedded inside the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and maintains contacts within the regime today says that a highly placed source inside the Iranian intelligence apparatus has said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is responsible for the bombings at the Boston Marathon that took the lives of three people and injured 176 more (many of the injured suffering traumatic amputation.)

Sleeper cells doing simple research, over time. This is less secure than Super Bowl.

Think “soft targets” now - hospitals, schools, nursing homes, universities, offices, shopping malls, etc etc etc.

Rush who’s broadcasts which have been pitched a curve with an am Brewers game locally, led off with the media screwballs about suspected perps being pitched to them. For north central Wisconsinites am putting up with a weak hour late rebroadcast transmission from am 1130 which doesn’t carry the Brewers on its lineup. . Savage who goes off on this might be right. This actually looks like a coverup..

Obama cannot allow the Saudis to be implicated. He cannot afford to offend the Saudi royals who paid for his law school.

I’m getting some blank pages as well. Odd.

No idea if this former CIA guy is blowing smoke on Iran, but whoever did this has provided proof to any would be terrorist bomber that this kind of attack is easy to pull off and deadly effective. We’ve already seen photos of a significant number of people carrying heavy backpacks near the bomb site, the vast majority of whom are innocent. Students typically carry backpacks on campus. it would be extremely easy for a future terrorist to carry one of these devices into the midst of a crowded area and cause similar or worse carnage. While there may be a greater level of protection inside the major sports stadiums, there is no such protection when thousands of people are lined up to enter a stadium. Or lined up at the annual Thanksgiving or Christmas or St. Patrick’s Day or Easter parade. Or lined up at a store waiting for a big sale. There were numerous attacks on Iraqis who lined up at the entrance to the US Green Zone in Bagdad looking for work.

The fact is that any large gathering of civilians is easy prey to a determined attacker with the rudimentary knowledge to make a home made bomb, because we’re never going to have bomb sniffing dogs and scanners installed every 50 feet on every street of every city in America. It shows how vulnerable we are in western society. Whoever is responsible, this may be just the beginning of a series of such attacks as the enemies of America seek to take advantage of its now proven vulnerability.

BS. If Iran was part of it Achma-did-the-the-job would be proclaiming that fact to the world with unbridled glee. Bullies boast.

The first nation to send condolences was IRAN.

The first nation to send condolences for 9-11 was Afghanistan.

Yeah, seems like a funny place to start though. Irony of it is that a good number of folks who run in marathons are those liberal, tweedy, Granola-eating types who have “Coexist’’ bumper stickers and think terrorists are misunderstood. Would be a different reaction if it were the NASCAR crowd.

'but whoever did this has provided proof to any would be terrorist bomber that this kind of attack is easy to pull off and deadly effective.'

Nonsense.

It is far easier to simply get a gun and shoot people. These movie plot terrorist acts are a joke.

A determined group of people could shut down this country in a few days, and I'm not talking about the political parties we have today.

This type of attack and ones before it are nothing. No different than the anarchist merry band of travelers at the turn of the century blowing up things.

Puerto Ricans ran around NYC killing and blowing up things in the 70's and we didn't shut down as a country nor did we develop into a police state.

Part of the hype today is media driven and through the use of advancing Gov't.

I had my eye on the bearded muzzie in the red shirt since the pictures circulated. He reminds me of the blind shiek. Cut from the same cloth.

Iran comments...

I have no opinion one way or the other but just thought the comment from Iran would be nice on the thread. Hope that’s OK.
