RUBIO: Gang o' 8 Immigration Bill 'Might Have Trouble in the Senate' and 'Can't Pass the House'
Reaganite Republican ^ | 02 May 2013 | Reaganite Republican

Posted on 05/02/2013 4:35:54 AM PDT by Reaganite Republican

After initial confident talk from the Gang-of-Eight and left-wing babblemeisters -some speaking of 70+ votes in the Senate- suddenly the ill-advised immigration legislation recently touted as near-inevitable is looking wobbly... same script (so far) as a recent congressional offensive against the 2nd Amendment,
how bout that:

“The bill that’s in place right now probably can’t pass the House,” Rubio told Mike Gallagher, a nationally syndicated talk show host.

'It will have to be adjusted, because people are very suspicious about the willingness of the government to enforce the laws now.'

He continued: 'That is a very legitimate suspicion, it’s one that I share, and if there’s anything we can do to make [the bill] even tighter... that’s exactly what we should be working on.'

Sounds nice, and thanks for admitting that border control sucks. But much like Obamacare, this bill has so much BAD in it, there ain't no fixin it, dude. And while we're not trusting any promises on border enforcement, what good are even LAWS when the vile Obama Administration only enforces the ones that fit their own agenda?

For starters, the thing is 844 pages long... if you all insist on such a complicated 'solution', maybe we need quite a bit more time to disinfect this thing with sunlight, eh? What's the rush, Senator?

You, McLame, Linseed, and Democrats are the only ones I see in some sort of hurry- with the rest of us left wondering why.

The bill also does little to keep the newly-blessed immigrants out of the welfare trough, pretends it will force back taxes out of them, does squat to improve border security, and promises faux 'triggers' while handing WAY too much power to Obama's highly politicized and militarized DHS.

Maybe that's why it's now in-trouble in even the Democratically-controlled Senate! As these senators likely already knew, now the electorate has figured-out what a joke their empty border-security promises are, and a few of these senators are getting cold feet- as well they should.

Marco Rubio is operating a hard-sell offensive based on a number of false assumptions, chief amongst them being that 'We're not going to deport 11M people' who came here illegally- why not? WHY is ANY deportation off-the-table? WHY is it all-or-nothing? Can't we at least pick through 'em?

WHY do we need to have 'a path to citizenship', either? Why do we OWE this to anybody- or how on Earth does it possibly benefit the United States of America? And why are you guys purporting this to be a long and arduous task for immigrants seeking such citizenship, when you know the bill is full of shortcuts?

Again -as with Obamacare- the presentation of 'what it will do' and the reality we deduce with our own reason just don't match up here. Once it starts to smell funny -and it seems we're being scammed- it's hard to trust these people on anything they say, and this thing already stinks like trash-truck juice.

Anything that gets millions of poor immigrants in the voting booth within the next decade is SUICIDE for the Republican party... 3rd world economic refugees are ready-made Dems, and THEY know it, along with just about everybody else on the planet with the possible exception of the Gang-of-Eight's Gee Oh Pee suicide battalion...

Republican house stopped Bush’s Amnesty and it is they who might stop it again. even if they do stop it R’s will still get blame. the R House stopped gun control this year but only blame is what they get.

This is more bait and switch.

No Amnesty. no new laws

repeal the 1965 immigration act( This is what caused immigration to come from the 3rd world which in turn provided a home base for further illegal immigration)

repeal Obamacare

keep repealing laws

Go back to the drawing board, come up with something that EVERYONE can support and then resubmit it. (I know that not “everyone” will support the bill but include something that the other side “can’t live without”. SOmetimes you have to give something to get something.

No, no new laws. 99% of what Congress passes just creates more government and draws in more immigrants.

This is more bait and switch.

“...people are very suspicious about the willingness of the government to enforce the laws ...” Suspicious huh? How about: “People” have witnessed a systematic disregard for the law, and selective enforcement of the law since the 1986 “reform” bill and we have been overrun by something like 30 million illegals, few of whom share our values. This is not suspicion, it is an acknowledgement of reality. We all know how this will go down if such a bill were to pass. We all know they are lying through their teeth, if for no other reason that Yuckie Schumer is one of its major proponents. Thank God in heaven this will never get past the House. Complete waste of time. Hugely disappointed in Rubio.

The D Senate stopped gun control this year. Four Repubics voted for it so it was even Bi-Partisan. It never got to the R House.

That is why Odumbo got so pissy when it failed in the Senate, because that was his ace in the hole to blame it on the R House so he could campaign for a D House in 2014 to make his “transformation” complete before 2016 and his eventual Bloomberg style coronation. Get it yet?

Yes. Ted Kennedy’s 1965 law was the beginning of the end for our country. Repeal Third World immigration, repeal family “reunification” and get rid of birthright citizenship, the three pillars of our destruction.

During Bush's amnesty, 90% of democrats in Congress voted for Amnesty

The only thing that stopped Bush's Amnesty is that Republicans in Congress voted 90% against Bush's Amnesty

ditto for Gun Control, UN Arms treaty, Hillarycare and all the major bills

only difference was Obamacare where ALL 100% of democrats in Congress voted to pass Obama care, 100% of Republicans in Congress voted against Obamacare

Yes and most of those 3rd world immigrants vote democrat so we see why the country is moving to the left and former conservative states like California are now liberal cess pools.

A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FIESTA

<><> The tax-financed Boston bombing has derailed the Obama legacy train.

<><> Events are unfolding that turn Rubio into a full-fledged lame duck.

<><> The sap-happy "reform" reporting continually omits crucial facts about "immigraton reform."

<><> Americans are disgusted w/ the us-against-them nature of "ethnic solidarity".

<><> The shock of the tax-financed Boston Marathon Bombing reinforced the folly of reform.

<><> Stupid, derranged, vote-crazed pols just can't stop sucking-up.

<><> Residents are up in arms---the Mass government was caught red-handed financing "ethnic solidarity"---in the form of massive tax-funded welfare benefits to the bomber family.

<><> It's an outrage that the Chechneyan bomber family pocketed $100,000 from a host of local/state/federal giveaways---appears pols sucked-up bigtime, anxious to finance "ethinic solidarity."

<><> The stupidest Mayor in Amerca---Boston's Menino---was prostrate in obeisance---actually gave Islamics a $2 million piece of land for $170,000 to build the notorious Boston mosque (where the bombers worshipped).

<><> Americans see the handwriting on the wall---Obomba made a dirty deal w/ Mexico to export food stamps across the border....even without "reform".

<><> THE GIMME ZOMBIES The latino lobbyists who wrote the Schumer-Rubio "immigration reform" bill demanded "ethnic solidarity"---includes "slush funds" amounting to $150 million tax dollars to latino-centric groups like La Raza, which advocates bloody, violent uprisings agaiinst Americans.

It failed by a vote of 54 to 46, with five Democrats voting against it. Only four Republicans supported it.

There are 53 democrats in the senate so only 11% of democrat senators in the Senate voted against gun control. And you say the D Senate stopped it. bs close to 90% of democrats in the senate voted for Gun control so that’s not D’s stopping anything it was R’s in the senate that stopped it . and you are giving credit to democrats who 90% of them voted for gun control.

(GAG) MEET THE NEW CITIZENS---- NY POST EXCERPT
Mexican cartels dispatch agents deep inside US - spread into non-border states

CHICAGO (AP) — Mexican drug cartels whose operatives once rarely ventured beyond the US border are dispatching some of their most trusted agents to live and work deep inside the United States — an emboldened presence that experts believe is meant to tighten their grip on the world's most lucrative narcotics market and maximize profits.

If left unchecked, authorities say, the cartels' move into the American interior could render the syndicates harder than ever to dislodge and pave the way for them to expand into other criminal enterprises such as prostitution, kidnapping- and-extortion rackets and money laundering.

In Mexico, the cartels are known for a staggering number of killings — more than 50,000, according to one tally. Beheadings are a signature. So far, cartels don't appear to be directly responsible for large numbers of slayings in the United States, though the Texas Department of Public Safety reported 22 killings and five kidnappings in Texas at the hands of Mexican cartels from 2010 through mid- 2011. Still, police worry that increased cartel activity could fuel heightened violence.--SNIP--

In Chicago, narco/cop Commander James O'Grady, said street-gang disputes over turf account for most of the city's uptick in murders last year, when slayings topped 500 for the first time since 2008.

Although the cartels aren't dictating the territorial wars, they are the source of drugs. Riley's assessment is stark: He argues that the cartels should be seen as an underlying cause of Chicago's disturbingly high murder rate. "They are the puppeteers," he said. "Maybe the shooter didn't know and maybe the victim didn't know that. But if you follow it down the line, the cartels are ultimately responsible."

=============================================

A FREE PASS FOR BEHEADINGS Viscious Mexican drug cartels behead people who try to stop them. The Mexican drug lords are partners in financial arrangements with Hamas and Hezbollah terorists. The savage terroristss will be empowered to expand those partnerships via The Schumer-Rubio amnesty bill, and Holder is aiding and abetting the terrorist schemes. It’s a small step from blanketing America w/ marijuana and heroin to aiding and abetting Hezbollah terrorist operations. To these hardened criminal, the profit motive rules, no matter the source.

AS FRREPER RARESTIA INSIGHTFULLY POSTED We need to have a law mandating an affidavit be attached to each and every law between Congress, the Senate, and up to the President’s desk that states that the law was drafted by a law maker and ONLY by a law maker, was read completely and understood by the law maker submitting the bill, is Constitutional by provisions outlined therein, and applies to every American, including the law makers themselves.

This BS with outside entities and legal groups drafting laws, handing them to Representatives and Senators to bring up on the floor without knowing whats in them is complete tyranny. We did not elect these shadow law groups, we elected our Representatives and Senators. This is complete and total failure of the American system of Republicanism.

=============================================

COMMENTS Clearly vote-crazed pols are prostrate in obeisance, taking orders from foreign agents cunningly attempting to undermine US ntl security on the pretext of "immigration reform." These foreign control agents present a clear and present danger to Americans....and must be stopped.

======================================

Immigration reform is the gateway to terrorism. "Ethnic solidarity" is rearing its ugly head (think Boston bombers w/ a latino accent). US politicans are clearly colluding and conspiring with foreign agents to undermine US ntl security and placing Americans in danger. The word is out: " It's open season to conduct dirty deeds....and US politicans are helping us. So, all you "undocumented" terrorists, come on down---invade the US, and bring bombs "

Nope.

Any “comprehensive” bill is a scam, designed to hide its travesties of justice and responsibility in hundreds of pages lawyerly gobblety-gook and allow the Federales plenty of leeway in their selective “enforcement” of its provisions.

Do things one a time. (I suggest massive concertina and razor wire obstacles and fencing with mine fields behind them, quick reactions forces, and helicopter gunship patrols, but some may be think that goes a bit far.)

FIRST secure the the border.

When that is done in a satisfactory fashion (not just statistical manipulation by reducing arrests - something Janet Napolitano is already doing!), then, and only then, can we discuss the next step.

Dear Traitor Rubio,

I understand El Presidente Owebama is heading down to Mexico today to deliver his speech on your immigration bill to your friends south of what's supposed to be our border. If your immigration reform bill is so beneficial to Americans, dontcha think he'd be talking it up to us?

Toodles,
