May I suggest bringing tar, feathers and rope.

It’s time WE go “rogue” on them!

It’s dangerous to call for an ad hoc protest in a city that is far, far away from most of the tea partiers. I went to the Glen Beck 9/11 protest. But it took months of planning. The difference between Tea Party activists and AstroTurf is Tea Partiers are employed and can’t just jump on a bus. This risks making the Tea Party look weak.

Local IRS for the UP of Michigan - where is it? Local office for my area for Social Security is Ironwood. Use to be Escanaba. But like many programs have to contact Traverse City to get anything. It is like the Feds have fallen off the UP of Michigan

IMHO, Patriot groups who applied to the government for this status deserve what they got.

Tea Party groups are supposed to be for SMALLER government and LESS regulation, right?

Then why would they bow before the government and request that a muzzle be placed on their Free Speech Rights? This is exactly what 501 tax exempt status is...a MUZZLE! Our Tea Party group never applied for this very reason. We wanted to be able to endorse candidates AND we didn’t want the government breathing down our backs.

I think these Tea Party groups got greedy and thought the $$$ would come rolling in if people could exempt their donations...something that didn’t happen. They gave up their freedom for the prospect of making money.

You can’t rail against the big government mess while taking advantage of it. That’s hypocrisy and leads to the compromising of principles.

I think many of these Tea Party leaders aren’t really leaders...they’re sheeple.

Whats with this ad hoc bull!? Who`s the brain-dead idiot who thought this cluster-F-k up? Did those imbecilic morons who came up with this crap realize WE who actually pay taxes, do so BECAUSE WE ACTUALLY WORK? Now thats an actual job! You know, the kind that tends to get pissed off when WE call off without good advanced notice. F-K this ad hoc crap, you want to stage a gathering? Then plan ahead or go get stuffed!

Look, the principle that gov can not use it`s power to punish those who don`t agree with it is a valid one, even though you also have a valid point too. I just disagree with this ad-hoc horse-crap. Plan ahead or don`t expect our presence, (we who work), cause IF we piss off our employers and get sh!t canned, then we`ll really be at the Gubmint`s mercy, won`t we?

The IRS has been targeting and punishing people since Nixon (probably before). Our pro-life group was targeted under Clinton. It’s old news.

Expect negative coverage from the media. Time to deal with it.
It would be far more effective if a large noisy protest delegation showed up at publications who used material sent to them by the IRS through its selected propaganda arm and button hole the editors and reporters peppering them with questions.

And it needs to end, now. To quote the left, “Never waste a crisis.”, so use this to end the IRS and adopt the FairTax or something else.

This is a waste of time. Protest for reform of the tax system would be a better idea.

Pass the word around. It's good to see the Tea Parties around the country becoming engaged again (peacefully) against the repressive Obama regime.

We had this argument many times during the days when FR was protesting all over the place. It’s always better to have just a few people than to have nothing at all, was the general consensus. Doctor Raoul protested many times by himself. Of course it’s better to get the word out. Radio is best.

Better park some distance away in a shopping center parking lot and walk the remaining distance because license plate photos will be taken.

My suggestion:

1) abolish the IRS. Fire ** EVERY*** IRS employee.

2) The federal government sends a tax bill to each state governor ( size of bill based on latest census.)

3) The states figure out how to collect to pay for it.

With 50 states, eventually, the least intrusive and least economically damaging method of collecting the taxes needed to fund the federal government will emerge.

No need to collect names. We’ve all been on THE list for 6 years.

Do think this would be a good idea, except not with only 3 days notice. If we don’t push back they’ll assume they have rolled us, which would be a very poor assumption on their part.

Late notice, but here’s a chance to participate in a nationwide Tea Party protest at IRS offices.

Here is a protest sign suggestion:

Is Obama’s IRS rapidly becoming a SELECTIVE Domestic Terrorist Organization against the Middle Class?

Gadsden Flags are optional.

I removed myself from all .org mail lists long ago. If these sheople are willing to sale their soul to the government for 30 pieces of silver they do not warrant my support.

Thanks for the ping, Windflier.

I haven’t seen any follow up story. Did it happen anywhere?

As I recall, the first TP rally in Dallas was during the week with little advance notice or publicity. I attended but the crowd was small. The next was HUGE.
