'Mister Magoo' defense of Obama is undermining faith in government
Conservative Intel ^ | 5/21/13 | David Freddoso

Yesterday’s and today’s press conferences by White House press secretary Jay Carney provide ammunition to the thesis proposed this week even by a few mainstream journalists. By Carney’s account, Obama knows little or nothing about several really awful things happening in his own administration. He is (as Carney claimed) deliberately kept in the dark by senior staff regarding matters you’d expect a president would really want to know about, such as a major scandal about to erupt regarding the IRS targeting Tea Party groups, which began just as his health care bill was running into difficulty.

The long and the short of it is that Obama is doing more than any conservative could possibly do to undermine the public’s faith in government.

I just hope that thug is successful in undermining faith in government. It won't come anywhere near balancing the damage he is doing to our country, but it may help in repealing his destructive legacy.

Yet Carney doesn’t address the issue that nobody is held accountable. That’s because the any President would fire anyone who would bring him embarrassment and shame. He feels neither so he IS responsible.

...faith in government...

Faith in government? What's that?

Oh, I see. The same kind of faith the Founding Fathers had in government.

Oh, wait...

The only reasons you don’t report a problem up the chain of command are fear of them “targeting the messenger” or the assumption that they are already aware or are directing the situation
Neither is acceptable!

So why has hen ot fired his entire "senior staff?" Even if he is being kept in the dark so not to interrupt his vacations and his golf game, that just means he needs to be impeached as a handy proxy for Valery Jarrett and the Moslem Brotherhood.

Bill and the hildabeast have used the ignorance and I can’t recall ploy for decades now. Have either of them been prosecuted yet? You have an accusation, then prove it!! Funny thing though, when one works in pig swill, that stench becomes embedded in ones skin so one starts smelling like pig swill. Obozo hussein nor the hildahag are passing the smell tests of late.

It's the argument from his administration that people in government are doing all this bad stuff (rogue IRS agents, that sort of thing) and BHO knows absolutely nothing about it.

Here is the argument — if government is too big for even the President to control, then it is obviously too big and out of control!

What is a Mr Magoo defense?

From Wikipedia: "Magoo is a wealthy, short-statured retiree who gets into a series of comical situations as a result of his nearsightedness, compounded by his stubborn refusal to admit the problem. However, through uncanny streaks of luck, the situation always seems to work itself out for him, leaving him no worse than before."

Let's go through those compared to Obama.

Magoo is a wealthy,   Just like Obama
short-statured   nope
retiree  We should be so lucky
who gets into a series of comical  well, not so comical for us
situations as a result of his nearsightedness,  or at least political nearsightedness
compounded by his stubborn refusal to admit the problem.   Bullseye.
However, through uncanny streaks of luck,  and media cover
the situation always seems to work itself out for him, leaving him no worse than before.  Him, maybe, but we and Constitution get beaten badly.

I guess the Mr. Magoo defense is related to the Sergeant Shultz defense.

What is a Mr Magoo defense?

Blind and incompetent, but when all is said and done, ending up smelling like a rose.

Comparing Obama to Mr. Magoo is a terrible slur on the late Jim Backus.

Big Media would prefer the politburo.

Governments and politicians defend themselves, no matter how wrong they are. What people are seeing is a media that defends the government and politicians they serve, when the media knows they are wrong. People are losing faith in the media. The more the merrier, and the sooner the better. Our free press has sold out to the degenerate left.

As an American, I have never had faith in government no matter who is in office. It must be added however that some administrations are more sinister than others.

Let the hits keep coming because we want everyone to know that this is what happens when liberals are in charge.
