With the Boy Scout of America’s (BSA) vote to allow gay scouts (but not gay leaders as if that makes a difference) the Gay Mafia won another victory in its ongoing effort to destroy the moral fabric of America.

Since losing in the Supreme Court a decade ago when the Court said the BSA could exclude gays, the thug wing of gaydom has been threatening extorting and lobbying to get the organization to allow gays to be part of their “family.”

Scouts works by youth leadership. By this policy it will be entirely possible to have a homosexual youth in a youth leadership role, and as a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster role, until the age of 18.

BSA has lost their legal protection from the Supreme Court with this choice. Homosexual adult leaders are inevitable, and it will happen very soon.

I was in scouting as a kid, didn’t quite make it to Eagle, though I was in the OA. Sorry you are having to deal with this. I think the best thing to do, is do a full frontal assault on the fund raising for the scouts. When the money stops, they will relent.

The buddy system will no longer work. The first is obvious for the reason you mentioned. But there is another angle. For adults we use 2 deep leadership to protect the youth, but it is also to protect the adults from false accusations. With the current buddy system you could have a normal scout with a homosexual scout, and the normal scout makes a false accusation against the homosexual. As leaders we have no choice but to act and report the homosexual, how would we know it is a false report?

Scouting will have to go to triplet buddies for this reason.

My oldest son is an Eagle, my middle son picked up Eagle Wednesday night. My youngest was given until December to get his Eagle. He is at church right now with our Pastor filling out his project specs.

I have raised my children knowing the difference of right from wrong. I'm sorry if I believe it is MY job to let my children know what is the right behavior and what is wrong behavior.
It is not the job of priests, scout leaders, teachers, or any person who believes they are an authority on how I raise my children.
My children know that any sexual behavior against boys, girls, animals, or a lamp post is wrong is and inappropriate.
If they saw something going on they knew enough to report it.
If someone tried something with one of them, they were taught what to do in most cases. I was lucky enough to not have something terrible happen but we did trust a Catholic Priest once and I was informed of that incident and I can thank my son for informing me.
I saw things when I was a child too and I knew what to do or not to do, what was OK and not OK. But to deny a child the right to join scouts because of being gay is merely a witch hunt from most of you.
Like Catholic priests that became priests because they wanted to be where the boys are is an adult that doesn't care what good and bad is and let his sexual desires prey on children.

My boys began at age 13. All three were computer literate and somewhat athletic, but to look at them none of them would strike anyone as macho. However, by the time they had completed Eagle they were good, morally strong and confidant young men.

We had one rule - we did not allow our boys to get their driver's license until they had completed Eagle. And it worked like a charm.

What I have said all along about this subject is very simple, although, unfortunately, like so many subjects today, people make them way more complicated than they need to be in order to justify their efforts (aka compensation). The list is endless, and includes gobull warming, diversity, affirmative action, environmental protection, ad nausea.

Homosexuality (male or female) is ABnormal. That is an Undeniable FACT. If a given percentage of mankind (caclulatable by someone smarter than me) simply became sterile over a short enough period, and stopped reproducing, the entire species would die off. Similarly, if that same percentage were homosexual, the same thing would occur, artificial means notwithstanding.

Naturally occurring (if you accept the “they are born that way” premise), does NOT equate to NORMAL.

While anyone that is “defective”, either physically or mentally should not be discriminated against for BASIC rights, they should NOT either, be promoted for functions and activities for which they are not suited.

It still boggles my mind that the City of Fullerton, CA actually hired a one-eyed cop with 50% of the peripheral vision that any other cop is expected to have.

Would ANYONE think that a person born blind or deaf should be able to demand employment as a commerical aircraft pilot?

The absolute level of stupidity that this country and a large percentage of the world has fallen to is simply inexplicable unless we all admit to the fallibility of mankind, and the ultimate result of all this foolishness and chicanery.

I've not been particularly religious for most of my life, but my final conclusion is that the ONLY way this is ever going to be “cured” is via The Second Coming.

Despite our heartfelt desires that the current bugs scurrying out from under the rocks in Washington are all summarily squashed and that the Bugs-R-Us guys fumigate the premises, it's not likely to happen and the five spiral crash we're in will continue to the inevitable conclusion.

"Eagle Scout" has always meant someone with integrity, dead honest, uncorruptable. Sometimes the term was used as praise: "He's an Eagle Scout, what he says, you can take to the bank." Sometimes it's used as a (mild) derogatory: "Bah, he'll never go out drinking with us. He's a real Eagle Scout."

Either way, this is the last generation that will use the term as intended. In a few years, the phrase "Eagle Scout" will have the same social impact as "Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky".....a smirk, maybe a lascivious chuckle and a wink.

Which, I'd argue is the homosexual lobby's desired end result.
