I raise them, too. The last couple of weaners we just got are named Barack and Michelle. One is half black and half white. Both are boys.
They are very clean, they do not eat their own feces.
Goy (goi) n. pl. goy·im (goi m) or goys Offensive. Used as a disparaging term for one who is not a Jew. [Yiddish, from Hebrew gôy.
I would love to find out which move that was.
On an Unrelated note, your Paintings on your profile is stunning!
Here is one of mine.
You actually have talent! lol
Well, that movie came out in 1994, which would make you about 25. Just how the hell does someone only 25 years old get so worked up over a subject like eating pork??
When I was your age, I had lots better (and way more interesting) things to do, than badger a bunch of grey hairs about their preferences in meat.
I believe the movie was THE NAKED AND THE DEAD.
I was 35. Seems like a lifetime ago, doesn't it?
And Most People My Age Voted for Ubama too.
Besides, I thought more people would get the reference, after all, most of you are older than me and it is a really good and famous movie.
If I would have said, Windflier I am your Father
I have a sinking feeling now many FReepers would say "What?"
Besides, I am on the night shift right now, If I don't FReep I might have to actually get some work done. ;P
I shall endeavor to find and watch the film!
Joey Bishop was a really good actor.
Oh geez....I stand corrected. Pardon me for not knowing the precise month of your birth. [rolls eyes]
Honestly, who gives a rip how many people got, or didn't get, your movie reference? Seriously, you just wasted a half dozen posts waging a mini flame war with another poster over that trivia.
Bloody hell, son. Prioritize!
I never saw the movie. A guy at work was telling us about it after opening weekend and he described some guy raping another guy. The rest of us were cutting disapproving looks. I decided I could skip that movie and life has worked out just fine for me without watching it.
I'll admit that it's been a very long time since I saw Pulp Fiction, but I sure don't remember a gay rape scene. Maybe I was half asleep at the time.
Honestly, I thought the movie was interesting in a quirky sort of way. It was a real departure from standard movie making of the time, and definitely not Oscar worthy material. Still, it has become a cult classic.
KC, I saw Pulp Fiction not long after its screen debut. Besides a couple of memorable scenes, I found it to be disjointed and unnecessarily violent. Frankly, it seemed like a bunch of random action in search of a plot.
I know it’s a cult classic, but I rank it right up there with Killer Tomatoes From Mars.
2)Non-Jews are indeed not required to avoid pork or any other unclean animal for food--just for sacrifices. However, there are rules for food preparation that in all likelihood are not observed by our slaughterhouses: in order to be permitted, the animal must be Halakhically dead (ie, all its body parts must stop moving, other than mere nerve spasms) before it is butchered. If the animal is butchered before it stops moving then it was butchered while technically alive which is forbidden middeRabbanan (eating meat from an animal while the animal it was cut from is still alive is forbidden midde'Orayta' and is a capital offense). Fortunately (as I understand it), it is not the responsibility of the eater to know how the animal he is eating was killed. It is sufficient that he avoid all meat that he knows was butchered improperly. Fish and seafood do not require butchering. They are permitted once taken from the water.
Jews are most definitely forbidden to eat pork and a large number of other species, as well as any meat that isn't slaughtered and prepared according to G-d's laws. None of this has anything to do with hygiene but are forbidden strictly by Divine decree, ie, G-d said not to, and that is sufficient reason not to.
I know most American conservatives are into "western civilization," the eighteenth century "enlightenment," and feel that Americans should subscribe to whatever the religion of the Founding Fathers happened to be. Unfortunately, this may be good "conservatism," but it is not good religion. The True G-d has an authority over all civilizations, all human traditions, all human philosophies, all nations, and all founders. If some FReepers are so "libertarian" that they regard the holy Commandments of G-d as no better than Communist tyranny, then they should be on some atheist libertarian site rather than a conservative one that honors G-d.
A final word, which will doubtless be condemned by many: FReepers like to fantasize about wrapping moslems up in dead pig meat, but I wonder how often they stop to think how offensive this might sound to Orthodox Jews who in the past have also been persecuted, sometimes for their food laws? Remember, "western civilization" has many negatives as well as positives. It does not recognize the True G-d and seems to sit in judgment on His Commandments. Might not this be one reason we have arrived at "gay marriage?"
You can take "western civilization." I'll take A-mighty G-d.
Are you a Goy?
BACON BEEF ROLLS
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup low carb ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup onion, chopped fine
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 pounds ground beef
12 strips bacon
Combine everything except the bacon in a large bowl. Mix well then shape in two 6-inch long log shapes. On a large sheet of wax paper, lay 6 slices of the bacon side by side. Set one of the beef rolls crosswise at one end of the row of bacon strips; roll up, wrapping the meat with the bacon. Very carefully place the first roll in a 9x13" baking pan, lined with heavy foil, with the ends of the bacon under the meat roll. I recommend lifting it with a wide spatula so that it does't break. Repeat with the remaining bacon and meat roll. Bake at 375 degrees 45-50 minutes or until the center of each roll reaches 160 degrees. If the bacon doesn't look browned enough on top, put the beef rolls under the broiler for a minute or two.

The cleanest barn I ever saw around here was a pig barn.
My husband will be so happy this weekend, as we are having house guests, and both bacon and ham will be served at some of the meals.
Goi means a member of a nation. It’s not offensive.
I posted a dictionary definition of "goy" which said it was offensive.
It may have a negative connotation but no Jew I know uses it with offense.
They Sleep and Rout in Sh!t! That is a filthy animal.
I don't want to eat anything that doesn't have enough sense to disregard its own Feces!!!
Wrong. I raised several pigs back in the day in a good sized pen. They all crapped in one corner on the pen on the opposite side away from the food trough.
Sheep, cattle, horses, et al will crap on their food given half a chance. The only reason a pig would sleep or "root" in Sh!t is if they are forced to.
Are you Standing in the World?
Amen, brother. AMEN.
Bacon, sausage, ham, some other kind of sausage, some other kind of ham, pork chops, spare ribs, baby back ribs, fatback, whole-hog barbecue, butt, a third kind of sausage, chitlins (chitterlings, for the over-educated), pea-meal bacon, pancetta, pickled pig’s feet, etc., etc.
Is there any meat as versatil as pork? Is there any food as tasty?
No, there is not. And at the top of the list is bacon.
I’m not arguing with you, but what are you talking about? ‘Cause I have no idea
Mrs. L made a pot of collard greens last night. The flavor enhancer of choice was a lovely smoked ham hock, slow simmered with the greens. Absolutely delicious.
