Jerk of the Week - Jim McDermott
RightWingPatriot.com ^ | June 7, 2013 | RightWingPatriot

Posted on 06/07/2013 7:36:56 PM PDT by rightwingerpatriot

It is a sad fact of life that there exists many whose sole reason for existence seems to as much as a blight on the enjoyment of life as they possibly can. Narcissistic to the core and contemptuous of those they believe who are beneath them (which just happens to be most ordinary folk), these bringers of misery wreak havoc with people's lives whilst proclaiming their actions are "for the greater good." As we all know though, that these actions hurt most people except for those proposing such actions. RightWingPatriot.com offers up another of these blowhards as the recipient of this week's Jerk of the Week.

Unlike in previous weeks, the Jerk of the Week this time around came out of the gate strong and clinched the honors right away. I thought it would be a monumental, but not impossible task, to dethrone this jerk by the week's end, but nobody sunk low enough in human decency to wrest the honors from our chosen jerk. Without further ado, the Jerk of the Week is Jim McDermott.

This week saw some fantastic, and disheartening, hearings in the House of Representatives over the IRS scandal of the harassment and intimidation of conservative groups. While many Democrats spinned for the IRS and the Obama administration, one blowhard rose above the others, Representative Jim McDermott from Washington. This progressive oaf lambasted the victims of the IRS harassment and blamed them for it! He called their groups "highly political" (unlike the progressive groups rubber-stamped by the IRS) and that they were essentially asking for a tax audit.

This response from an elected official to represent American citizens is foul and odious. The harassment that the individuals and group suffered went way beyond a mere audit. People's lives and businesses were thrown into disarray and livelihoods threatened, vote participation was suppressed, and the possibility of jail time was called into play as that the IRS asked hypothetical questions under the penalty of perjury. Answer a question wrong because your guess of future conduct was off and you could find yourself in the federal pen!

Of course, Jim McDermott doesn't care about any of this. He is a darling of the progressive agenda in America and doesn't give one iota to defending the US Constitution. Why defend a document that is the basis of our republic when it stands in the way of total big government? The fact that conservative groups were targeted is the icing on the cake for McDermott. Blaming the conservative groups for the government harassment is like blaming a woman for being raped because she wore a mini-skirt. In other words, it's total crap. In fact, following the actual law is an alien concept for McDermott. This piece of filth was sued by John Boenher for illegally taping a telephone call and then leaking that tape to the press. Boenher won and McDermott owes $1 million dollars for his lawbreaking.

For not standing up for the Constitutional right of American citizens, for showing utter disdain for those who dare to stand up against Emperor Obama and the progressive agenda, and for blaming the entire situation on the innocent victims, Jim McDermott is our Jerk of the Week.

The frightening thing is, he is an automatic re-elect in his congressional district (West Seattle).

I can just imagine the “news” media response if a Repub acted as arrogantly and stupidly as McDermott does.

Not of the Week, but of the decade.

He was a defender of Saddam Hussein and even went there to help keep him in power.

A wacked out nut if there ever was one. But then again, he’s a Democrat so I’m being redundant.

He had stiff competition from Kathleen Sebelius and a few others.

Seems the good people of the great state of Washington might consider electing someone else next term, considering what a divisive person Mr. McDermott is in American politics. He sided with Saddam Hussein when war was eminent due to Saddam Hussein’s dismal record of using WOMDs against Iraqi citizens and up to the time of his final year, had killed an average of around 50,000 people per year including political assassinations, wars with his neighbors, ethnic groups in Iraq, and several Olympic athletes who displeased him by not winning during his 25-year reign. I’m always mystified when a man who is elected as a people’s representative to Congress sells out his country for partisanship and makes nice to evil leaders, famed for buying off journalists and politicians for saying nice things about him in public.

Making a dignified public hearing about the opposition Congressmen rather than the wrong done by partisans in the IRS executing orders to mistreat the President’s political enemies is a heathenish thing to do and his disruption should not be tolerated.

Voice opposition to the “regime” expect a response. Mr. McDermot is a man that has lost his soul.

Jim, you could never face me on a one on one and you are not worthy of breath of soul.

Care to take me up on that?

Just check the NSA for my number or email.

He should be in the slammer right now. He’s the lowlife bassturd that was in cahoots with the commie lib couple from Florida who illegally recorded Republican cell phone conversations some years ago, and skated because no RINO had the stones to push prosecution of them!

You do realize where Rep. McDermott’s district lies, don't you?

Central Seattle.

The liberal Democrat so-and-so can get elected any and every time he wishes. Many have tried to run against him and everyone who has gets utterly and totally crushed on election day....and without fraud. The only way he won't be elected is if he doesn't run, either by retirement, imprisonment, or death.

And....anyone who is a liberal Democrat who runs in his stead WILL be elected. The only way they wouldn't was if a good three-quarters of the population of Seattle and it's environs were dead or missing....because there's no way in Hell they'll turn conservative. EVER.

(Sorry...not trying to be a Debbie Downer...just stating cold, hard facts.)

Yes, I agree: the Evergreen State, whose state tree is the Hemlock should be tasted with caution. Seattle makes the Left Coast a force with which to be reckoned, as originally plotted, our nation was a conglomerate of small nation-states used to getting their own way, and continued guaranteeing states individual rights, at least until 1890, when the Equality State was admitted into the Union with the outlandish privilege of Wyoming women designated full suffrage and equal privileges in holding public office.

I’m a firm supporter of early American documents touting that American citizens be allowed the pursuit of happiness including an understood ability for each man to govern his own finances as part of that pursuit.

All these pursuits seem to me to be under attack not only by Presidential Orders as well as the extension of controlling terrorism that was granted by Congress to the Executive Branch on September 14, 2001, and continues on today while there is much meddling in the affairs of Middle Eastern Countries without a good general knowledge that the Muslim Brotherhood was instituted by the same gentleman who prodded Hitler to exterminate the Jewish Population of Europe in WWII.

I am not pleased that these war privileges have been exploited against American citizens by the IRS, a division of the executive branch, and possibly the sharing of medical information through the Affordable Care Act that was shoved through Congress by Nancy Pelosi with the famous instructions to Congress of “don’t read, just pass,” to paraphrase a longer, more ambiguous sentence.

I am with you when I say that I think Congressman McDermott, D-WA, should get a grip.

To clarify my earlier post, I apologize for using the word “eminent” (famous) when I should have used the word “imminent” (threatening to happen soon) in my previous post last night and any discrepancy in true meaning the error may have caused.

Yours, sincerely ~
