Lindsey Graham: Why is Rubio complaining about a bill that he helped write?
Hotair.com ^ | 6/18/13

“How do we put together a bill and then the guy who put it together says that he may not vote for it?” Graham asked me. “I just don’t get what we’re doing here.”

His specific complaint: that GOP Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, a fellow member of the Senate “gang of eight” who had spent months drafting a bipartisan immigration reform bill, seemed to be backing away from the legislation…

Graham needed Rubio to bless the deal and stick with it, not flinch at the first whiff of tea party gunpowder.

What I am saying is that any bill in the Congress is usually much different when it is passed from committee than when it was drafted. It is not remarkable that a bill’s author has pulled their support from a bill especially with the advent of the ‘gut and amend’ process.

The Dems have conned the GOP into caring more about foreign invaders than American citizens.

The GOP's belief that handouts to illegals will garner votes for the GOP is delusional. The GOP's failure to realize that Amnesty benefits illegals and Dems but not Americans or the GOP is astonishing.

Oh and, the GOP HELPING THE DEMS WIN EVERY ELECTION hereafter is SUICIDAL.

I think Lindsey was bullied in his childhood and he now retaliates and revenges that by taking positions that are in your face to the Tea Party conservatives. But I speculate, I’m no psychologist - it seems like the only plausible explanation - he thoroughly enjoys the negative attention from true conservatives and thoroughly enjoys the attention and conduit of the lame stream media. It’s a win win for him, and a lose lose for the country. It’s as despicable as a scandal ridden Democrat.

No. The modern GOP is all for liberal ideals all on their own. And some are determined to keep electing more of them.

“I just don’t get what we’re doing here.”

Finally Lindsey recognizes what Conservatives have known for years!

Lindsey, Why are YOU pretending the GOP will gain a single vote for this transparent pandering?

I’ll believe “assimilation” when I no longer have to “press 1 for English”.....

Why are YOU imposing slave wages on LEGAL immigrants, via this amnesty bill?

Talk about your drama queens.

More drama here between Goober and Marco than there was between Michael Douglas and Matt Damon in Behind the Candlelabra.

Graham is right. Rubio is coming across as weak. I’d respect him more if he stood solidly one way or another. He seems like a light-weight to me.

Sen. Rubio: Will someone please confront Rubio, of Cuban background, about the place of Cuban refugees in his new immigration plan?

As many of us know, Cubans have their own special immigration law: A Cuban touches American soil, and he is automatically an American citizen.

But nobody dares to challenge Rubio by asking him if that unfair and unequal law is going to be repealed so that Cubans can now be put in the general immigration population with all other immigrants.

Come on, Rubio, repeal that only-Cuban favorite immigration bill before you even consider new immigration laws.

“Graham needed Rubio to bless the deal and stick with it, not flinch at the first whiff of tea party gunpowder.”

Sorry Lindsey, but Rubio is still isn’t entrenched enough to disregard the will of the voters, yet. He’ll get there, but he might have to pretend to be conservative on a few more votes yet.

Remember, a RINO’s first priority is to their own political power, and not any principle, even that of backing up their own RINO allies and legislation.

Maybe its because Marco looked down and saw that both of his wrists were slit.

Well, Rubio is still going to be a puppet, even if he breaks with that gang, as long as he continues to be a RINO useful idiot.
