Posted on 06/23/2013 3:00:40 PM PDT by montag813
Bill O'Reilly shocked the conservative blogosphere when he came right out and endorsed the 'Gang of 8' immigration bill - even though there was no actual bill text available when he endorsed it.
O'Reilly's surprise backing came on the very day that the so-called "Border Surge" amendment, sponsored by Sens. Corker (R-TN) and Hoeven (R-ND) was announced by the desperate amnesty-pushers to try and save the bill, but before some of the nasty details of it had been introduced to the Senate.
Bill'O's total betrayal of "the folks" also came after The New Yorker reported that he and FoxNews anchors Sean Hannity and Neil Cavuto held a secret meeting with 'Gang' members McCain, Rubio and Graham, and promised to support it.
O'Reilly denied this report in his endorsement of the bill...
An incredulous Laura Ingraham came on right afterwards, and proceeded to rip O'Reilly to shreds.
Check out the part when he pathetically hangs his entire defense of the bill on the fact that John McCain TOLD him he would support the border "this time", unlike the 1986 amnesty and 2006 border fence bill.
Nice work, Laura.
For someone who denied being given marching orders by his amnesty-supporting boss Rupert Murdoch to back the bill, Bill-O certainly has absolutely no defense for the actual substance of the bill. The amendment does nothing to guarantee border security before amnesty is granted to millions of illegals, and even gives the DHS Secretary an unlimited waiver to cancel any and all border security promised.
In fairness, when he endorsed the bill Thursday, O'Reilly had no idea of this waiver grant.
But why endorse the bill? Why the rush? Was it because polls and whip counts showed the bill was on the verge of collapse and his secret cabal were determined to rescue it ASAP?
Oh yes, that's right, there was no secret meeting, right? Bill denied it.
But wait...who is the one quoted by the New Yorker about this meeting that Bill said never happened? Let's see...
McCain told me, Rupert Murdoch is a strong supporter of immigration reform, and Roger Ailes is, too. McCain said that he, Graham, Rubio, and others also have talked privately to top hosts at Fox, including Bill OReilly, Sean Hannity, and Neil Cavuto, who are now relatively sympathetic to the Gangs proposed bill.Ah, so John McCain reported the secret meeting that O'Reilly says never happened.
But didn't O'Reilly just say John McCain is not a liar?
"The folks" who would be devastated by the 'Gang of 8' disaster are waiting for your answer, Bill.
BOR is a Dem party con artist .
His pals are Barbara WaWa and that vile adulteress Sally Quinn .
That all we need to know
Bill is an idiot. But the woman who rolled on Romney and told us to vote for needs to STFU about it.
O’Reilly is just a buffoon, a publicity-seeking Bloviator.
Laura’s takedown was a thing of beauty. Not because O’Reilly had anything other than bluster and the flimsiest of excuses to support it (”we have to do SOMMMMEEETHING!!!” But because Laura was just relentless in pounding him over and over again. Talking over O’Bloviator deserves hazardous duty pay!
As this bike bill drives down US wages to third world levels and wipes out the black community wages .
BOR and Hannesty are real concerned while flying on Murdoch private jet to meet with traitors like Grahnesty and Rubio .
Can’t say anyone paying attention is “shocked” The Conservative blogsphere may be.
Oh. And ugh.
When you are as rich and famous as BOR, blackmail is a term that rarely applies.
He sold out to the NWO for more wealth and fame, although I am not so sure that this was the issue that turned him, I would argue that the Bobby Kennedy lover sold out a long time ago.
Bill is one of “them.” He has never been one of us.
You were expecting a different outcome from the FNC GOPe league? LOL.
No, not at all. Just stunned by the blatant hypocrisy concerning secret talks with politicians and then agreeing to try and sway We the People, especially by Cavuto. Unlike, BOR and blowhard Hannity, I actually had some respect for him.
Yet the dumbasses will keep watching.MORONS.
I’m not surprised. BOR endorsed the McCain/Kennedy/Bush amnesty of 2007 also.
Cavuto was never really a political guy. He started doing business on CNBC and was one those former CNBC hires Ailes brought in after FNC got up and running. Martha McCallum was another one of those trained in business news at CNBC. Ailes brought in Gerry Rivers from CNBC as well but Gerry was most likely trained in communist propaganda by Che Guevarra.
Cavuto is a personable guy who is good at interviewing but just that, the same could be said of Larry King as well. Cavuto is schmoozer not a thinker.
I for one am not impressed in the least by his knowledge. He has demonstrated over and over again that he may know dates and events but has no concept of what works and what doesn't and why that is so. Lest we forget, he torpedoed the Swift Boat Vets out of hand. He is hopelessly ignorant on gun control issues (typical east cost/NY attitude). He is a vacuous gasbag in love with the sound of his own voice. He bullies his guests whenever they are close to making a point.
I think Laura Ingrahm does a much better job as host, she is sharper then BoR any day of the week and twice on Sunday! Even Juan Williams is a better host.
What’s shocking? B’OR supported amnesty when Bush was pushing it.
BOR never misses an opportunity to demonstrate how “open minded” he is.
I’m guessing Laura will be looking for work soon.
This is the same BOR who you will recall demanded troops at the borders a few years back. Amazing what a sexual affair and a commie regime can do to a man.
