I agree with you that overcharging happens all the time.

In my opinion, this case takes it to another level, in that the events have NOTHING to do with the charges.

“Domestic Terrorism” is being used as a catch-all charge that the government can use against anyone if they decide that person is an enemy of the state.

Domestic Terrorist = Enemy of the State

Resisting Arrest = Catch-all Criminal Charge
