His conscience is buoyed by an opportunistic moment of PR parody, that is informed only by how much revenue the film will produce.
I also thought it was fairly brilliant. My taste in movies is not always right-in-line with family values. From a strictly political viewpoint, the movie shows that evil should be confronted and that ordinary people can make a differencer. I like that. From the standpoint of Christian family values, the movie was a bit harsh (to say the least). But my overall taste in movies tends to be non-standard.
I haven't seen a Jim Carrey movie in forever though -- I find him objectionable quite apart from any issues of language or violence.
NOTE TO WRITER: When Shakespeare said that brevity is the soul of wit, I doubt if he intended for brevity to be achieved by omitting letters from words, not to mention omitting whole words completely. JMO
I liked this idiot when he was living in his car. Another a##clown that got lucky
Let's give the devil his due: Jim Carrey is a freaking genius as a performer, as his ample body of work (which goes way beyond fart noises) clearly demonstrates.
But he is clearly talking our of his ass when he strays into political topics, about which he is truly an idiot.
