What most are unable to discern is the intense spiritual war concurrently taking place all around us. We are both coveted territory and a battlefield and a major campaign in this new world war is being fought here, now.

I will admit that my hostility to birthers has grown over time.
I started out very polite. For my politeness, I was called a "shill," an "Obot," an "Obama supporter," and many other names, some of which are unrepeatable.
Not just once, but literally dozens and dozens of times.
Other language was used which made me reasonably conclude that if certain birthers were present, they wouldn't hesitate to do a Trayvon Martin on me, simply because I pointed out the falsity of their BS.
I finally got tired of it.
Even recently, DiogenesLamp has told me, repeatedly, that if he had the opportunity to do so, he would "beat my ass."
I realize that you haven't been in on the entire conversation. But perhaps that will help you understand a bit of the history.
I also think that endlessly reposting disproven nonsense is offensive. To the extent that people post things worthy of respect, they get respect from me.
Even you, though we seem to find ourselves on opposite sides of the birther stuff, have gotten some respect from me recently by making a very good post regarding the Zimmerman case, which I said I agreed with almost 100%.
If someone posts nothing but bullcrap, well, that doesn't gain a lot of respect from me.
In any event, I tried, in the beginning, to set a tone of civility. Birthers wanted to adopt a harsh, adversarial tone. Okay. They've got it.
Although I must say that even to this day, I think my posts are still more civil than those of the laughingly-named “DiogenesLamp.”
