Obamacare Delayed because of 2014 Midterm Elections

Late last night, the Obama administration announced that it was delaying a key component of Obamacare until 2015. It appears that the requirement that employers who employ 50 or more people are required to offer health insurance has been pushed back a full year. The administration is lying through their teeth when they had Mark Mazur, assistant secretary for tax policy at the Treasury Department, say, ""We have heard concerns about the complexity of the requirements and the need for more time to implement them effectively. We have listened to your feedback. And we are taking action."

Everyone with an ounce of sense (which means that progressive liberals won't!) knows that this is being done solely to cover the butts of Democrats in the upcoming 2014 midterm elections. Obama and his big government cronies are doing everything possible to prevent another midterm election as in 2010 when Republicans took back the House of Representatives. The employee mandate was set to start in 2014 and its effects would have been felt immediately as companies would have laid off employees, cut back their hours to under 30 hours a week, or choose to pay the penalty as opposed to the spiraling costs of health care insurance.

Obamacare is set to wreak havoc not only upon the American economy but also our health care system. A large percentage of doctors have been preparing to leave medicine due to the onerous burdens of Obamacare and the huge financial hit they will endure. Employers have stopped hiring and have begun to cut back their workforce, especially full-time workers. The cost of health insurance has skyrocketed just within the last year, with many people being forced to pay twenty five percent or more. The prognosis doesn't look any better in the future as insurance companies will have to raise their rates due to the increased load.

Another aspect of the disaster of Obamacare is that people will lose their insurance. Obama lied when he said that people would be able to keep their insurance. With insurance costs getting higher and higher, companies will find it much cheaper to just pay the penalty for not offering insurance or they can hire illegal aliens who got amnesty (if the current pro-amnesty immigration bill passes) as there is no penalty for hiring illegals who got amnesty as they're not allowed to receive Obamacare. The end result is that people will lose their insurance and be forced onto the government plan. Which was the plan all along and what progressives want - you utterly dependent upon the almighty State.

People are starting to wise up to the massive pitfalls in Obamacare and have begun to voice their displeasure. Obama and the Democrats can tell which way the wind is blowing, which is why they pushed back this key component past the 2014 midterm election. They also announced this decision right before the Fourth of July holiday when Congress is in recess. It is the Obama administration's fervent hope that this blatantly political move will be ignored over the holiday and that their media lapdogs will not report on it at all. It is up to us to keep the drumbeat going and kick all the anti-Constitution bums out of Congress come next November.

This medicine tastes really bad, will not be good for you and we all know it. Even the proponents.

And if Mitt Romney were president, the democrats would have launched a full-court press to see it implemented. Conservatives dissenters would be branded as obstructionists. The press would have played up the fact that Romney was the original author of Obamacare, and he would not have stood in its way. (At best, he might add a couple goodies to the law for his team.) And history would remember the Republicans as the party that bankrupted America. FRiends, were played in the 2012 presidential race ... almost successfully. The only reason Obamacare can still be torn down is the fact that Obama remains in the Oval Office. We dodged a bullet. Now let's turn things around.

0bama wants to regain both houses. His real goal in doing this. I shudder at the thought of what he and his criminal thugs would do to America if that were to happen. He knows he has been discovered even by many of the most ignorant of the electorate -— he has nothing to lose at this point except his job. But Congress and the SCOTUS apparently have little interest in upholding the law and our Constitution.

They probably are hoping the mistrust of the IRS blows over by then too.

Congress passed the law and the president signed it into law. The president can't on a whim decide when it goes int effect.

The implementation dates were written into the law congress passed and he signed.

His may be president but not our King.

He should take a good look at Egypt today because that day is coming for him soon.

Should employers trust this smegma-scented administration? This could very well be a future IRS trap in qualifying the number of employees an employer had on a specific date.

Bammy can always move the effective date to some time in early 2013.

Or 1960.
