“Flight of The Phoenix” was very good as well. I enjoyed that one.

Always

Forever Young

Waldo Pepper

The High and The Mighty

Charlie’s Angels (with my friend doing the skydiving stunts)

Top Gun has been relagated to my denial vault. I’ve owned 3 or 4 copies, in multiple and international formats. I’m old and my attention span is shorter. I’d rather watch “Pack Line a Pro.”

“Air Force One” with Harrison Ford was a goody.

The B-47 was a beautiful airplane...

Agreed. It is a great movie about leadership and men under stress. Nothing corny about that movie.

As a movie about leadership, I rank it up there with “The Caine Mutiny” with respect to the excellent lessons one can learn from the movie.

12o clock High. Hands down the best aviation movie ever made. While not an aviation movie per se I love the flying sequences in Dr Strangelove.

Airplane is my all-time favorite aviation movie. I know it's a comedy, but it's a movie that will never get old for me.

The Right Stuff, Twelve O'Clock High, and Battle of Britain are my favorite "serious" aviation movies. I would toss Midway into the mix as well.

“Above And Beyond” with Robert Taylor was very good.

Heh, I can only watch “Top Gun” about once every ten years, but...being a former flight deck guy, it always brings me back.

Ah, The Flight of the Phoenix.

Yes, the original with Jimmy Stewart was quite good. I believe there was a lackluster remake.

The Doolittle raiders recently held their final reunion at Eglin AFB. I think there are only four left.

Another good war movie “Wings of Eagles”, I think that was the title. John Wayne as Spig Weed. A true story filmed in Pensacola.

And the best line from “Airplane” isn’t “I speak jive”..but the dream sequence when Julie Hagerty says..” remember when we spend the night on the beach. I sat on your face and watched the sun come up.” How that ever got past the censors I have no clue.

Dr. Strangelove is a great movie. I remember watching it about five years ago, and sat bolt upright when I saw a scene, shouting to myself "Hey!!!!"

I was so proud of myself, took this screen capture, I only found out later it was as well known easter egg...:)

Yes, a great movie. The scenes inside the Enola Gay were superb.
