Rep. Dave Camp (R-MI), the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, tweeted Wednesday evening that the Senate's immigration bill is unconstitutional because it raises revenues and originated in the Senate instead of the House.
Chairman Camp: Senate immigration bill a revenue bill; unconstitutional and cannot be taken up by the House, the official House and Ways Means Committee Twitter account sent out Wednesday evening.
As of this writing, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has not sent the immigration bill that passed the Senate 68-32 to the House of Representatives...

TALKING POINTS Not only is the Senate amnesty bill an abuse of taxpayers and immigrants, its utterly unconstitutional. The Senate cannot invent its own amnesty taxes, said Cong Stockman (R-TX). I hope Speaker Boehner will immediately kill the amnesty bill through a constitutionally-required blue slip. As long as the amnesty bill sits in the House it poses a threat to taxpayers and immigrants.
<><> Several provisions of the Senate amnesty bill create new taxes, a violation of the origination clause, Article I, Section 7, Clause 1 of the United States Constitution, which states All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.
<><> Section 2102 of the amnesty bill requires the payment of certain taxes and forgives the payment of other taxes as a condition of receiving amnesty and other benefits. The Constitution prohibits the Senate from approving bills that raise revenue.
<><> Cong Stockman also points to the Congressional Budget Office, which flatly states enacting S. 744 would have a wide range of effects on federal revenues, including changes in collections of income and payroll taxes, certain visa fees that are classified as revenues, and various fines and penalties. Taken together, those effects would increase revenues by $459 billion over the 2014-2023 period.

The Senate immigration reform bill includes two slush funds amounting to $150 million dollars that may be supplemented with additional taxpayer dollars for years to come, earmarked for non-profit organizations such as the blood-thirsty La Raza.
America-hating Raza Studies teach (1) violence, (2) undermining US ntl security, and, (3) the need for Mexico to "re-take seven states in the Southwest...in order to make the SW a Chicano nation. "
REFERENCE---LA RAZA TEACHING HATE-AMERICA WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS La Raza Studies do not even try to sugar-coat its anti-America agenda and its bloodthirsty plans to kill off Americans: Raza Studies textbook Occupied America, by Rodolfo Acuña, includes a violent and blood-curdling speech given by university professor Jose Angel Gutierrez: We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is, if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him, (pg. 323). La Raza's Occupied America textbook teaches: .......execute all white males over age 16, (pg 167 AKA the Plan of San Diego).
I smell a victory.
Like it matters anymore.
If Boehner submits anything to the HOUSE on immigration reform, just to keep Harry Reid's timetable..
He should be frog-marched down Pennsylvania Avenue!
Obamacare should have been tossed out for the same reason, with the argument against the ‘fees’ being taxes that the whole thing is unConstitutional if the fees are taxes.
Putting aside ideological objections all the individual Senate bribes in that massive Senate crap bill ensured that it would be completely unacceptable to MOST House Republicans.
And it took so many bribes to get that biill passed that changing the bill would make Rubios job even more difficult to get those 14 Senate GOP votes again, and all the Dems votes.
Rubio cant sell it to House Republicans.
Ryan's influence is fading even though libs call him a 'conservative with a unquestionable reputation'
Don’t worry. The Supremes will find some twisted logic to make it Constitutional.

Liberals now praising Ryan, like they used to praise McCain : )
Reid must love Ryan....
Libs now praising Ryan just like Rubio a few weeks ago and McCain before him.
Oddly enough they didnt praise Mccain in 2008 when he ran against Obama
