Rep. Peter King launches air strike on Paul (conservatives more dangerous than democrats again!)

Rep. Peter King says he’s considering a run for president because someone needs to counteract forces in the Republican Party, singling out Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.

“I’ve said I certainly would consider the race and the main reason right now is to shift the debate. It bothers me when the leading Republicans out there, someone like Rand Paul, seem more concerned about an American being killed in Starbucks by a CIA drone than he is about Islamic terrorism,” the New York Republican said Friday morning on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

King acknowledged he was considering a run on Thursday after a conservative website floated his potential bid.

On Friday, he said he wanted to focus the debate on national security.

“We can’t just have a blind partisanship, but in any event, we can’t have an isolationist trend which I think is being pursued by Rand Paul,” King said.

He also denied that he was being put up as a prop of some faction in the party. When asked by MSNBC analyst Luke Russert, “Who’s putting you up to this?” King denied a conspiracy.

“Luke that’s that whole Buffalo blood in you coming back, always seeing conspiracies or fighting. No, actually there’s no conspiracy here. … This is just a number of people who are very concerned, there’s virtually no one out there on the presidential level talking about national security,” King said.

Somebody please tell me, is it divisive when a moderate says he may run against a conservative, or is that only when a conservative announces a run against a moderate (as we read earlier this week when Cheney announced against Enzi)???

The beauty of spending more money on defense than the rest of the world put together, even after the sequester, is not having to talk about national security. When you have a big stick, what's there to talk about?

He's a pro-terrorist IRA supporter, so I find it interesting that he wants to talk about national security.

Indeed, conservatives should be more dangerous than democrats, we’re the one’s trying to save our country from the mobs.

Here’s the GOP-e scenario:

Conservatives in Iowa split their votes among Paul, Cruz and possibly 1 or 2 more. RINO King squeaks through, wins open primary New Hampshire, and here we go again.

What’s that saying about insanity?

This nonsense about terrorism is especially rich from a tool like Rep. King who has supported terrorists in Ireland for decades.

Well, I have to agree with him about Paul.

But I even went to the link. Even played the stupid video, and I could not find/hear a single King comment about Cruz.

I just hope we don’t nominate another Neo Con Moderate, like Bush.

Neo Cons Moderates will borrow trillions of $$$ from your kids and grandkids to pay for never ending social programs and also wars lasting 10 years or more. You can be strong on a defense without being a Neo Con.

I haven’t given to the party in months and do not plan to do so again, ever. As soon as I can, I am going to re-register in the American Indepedence Party.
