This account was found on a site devoted to survival in times when societal order has broken down. It offers some interesting background to the Martin/Zimmerman confrontation. Response to the Zimmerman trial verdict was mixed at the site. This was penned by "Mac":
I know the area where Zimmerman was forced to kill to survive. I walked away from a very lucrative service contract in Sanford, Florida just two weeks before the incident happened because of the people that live there. One of the properties I was assigned work on was just around the corner from where it happened.
I got tired of having to run from the vicious pit bulls that everyone seems to have. I got tired of hearing someone yell “hey there is a white guy over here” followed by having a dozen blacks coming around and messing with my truck and tools trying all the locks and chains looking for something to steal. I got tired of having to have someone ride along to guard my equipment while I worked.
The last straw for me was when I came from the back of a house and found a black guy standing in the back of my truck pulling on the chains and locks trying to remove tools that were locked and chained to the truck. He was so focused on trying to find something to steal he did not notice me walk up behind him.
When I asked very loudly, “Find something you like asshole?” he jumped out of the back of the truck and ran off.
I decided that if I had to carry a weapon with me to be able to do my job safely then I did not need a job in that town.
I am not a bit surprised that this happened in Sanford.
If so, it appears to me that white people suffer a much higher degree of racism in black neighborhoods than black people suffer in white neighborhoods.
now that tm is deceased is his juvenile record available?
it would seem media outlets would want to put this information out to the public.
Dade county is still stalling the release of crimina records even now?
Years ago, I worked with a major fiber-optic company. Some of the field engineering crews would return from working areas of NYC and tell of needing to have police escort to do their work. They said that they were told that firemen had the same problems.

Yep, that’s what it’s like Sir and then some. Multiple generations living off welfare. When I ride through there on my way to the East Coast it always gives me a chuckle that The State still posts Democrat Lawton Chiles’ “walking” signs up. Like anything changed in 50 years.
From what I have read, Trayvon Martin did not have a criminal record. Of course, that does not mean that he was not involved in crime:

Too bad half of the so called conservatives talk show hosts I’ve been listening to can’t seem to be willing to connect the dots to what a heavy hand his imperious highness played in this example of socialist justice meted out to serve the policies of the state . Turning this into a show trial replete with wall to wall tv coverage..
The least talkshows can do is get the facts out for the reason for the trial and its outcome instead of cope-ing with Obama moving the ball futhur and furthur away from what was done. while they’re milking the emotion response.routine like “big brother “does..

.For certain since the not guilty verdict has been rendered the facts of this case are still being concealed by the media such as not using pictures of both side by side because they look like cousins.
Many Neigborhood Watch areas consist of modest dwellings including the one Zimmerman was a “watch captain” in.His was a mini US melting pot which includes a number of black families which banded together and set up patrols to protect their area. In this case they were struggling with single and groups of young blacks from other “hoods” on the prowl., In some instances armed, preying on homeowners in his area..Their activities are closely co-ordinated with the local police departments and follow set protocols. Most conservcative hosts not only demonstrated their ignorance by not bringing this up but have allowed Obama to set his agenda moving the discussion from his dismal and corrupt regime filled with scandals .

Usually such neighborhood watch areas are posted with a window or garden sign announcing that fact and those patrols will observe any one; black,white, green, or blue and sometimes even stop and question them. ..That fact and the area wasn’t even examinined by any of the so called media because it wouldn’t fit their agenda if true journalisim existed, because it couldn’t support any racial assertion..
It would even explain Zimmerman’s action taken during his surveilance of Martin because this watch volunteer got out of his car and continued his observation on foot because he lost sight of Martin. In many watch areas that’s done frequently when the subject disappears from view they may leave their vehicle and continue surveilance on foot.. ....
According to the testimony there was an exchange after Zimmerman was going back to his vehicle when Martin attacked him and was severly beating him to the extent he feared for his life. To put it bluntly Saint Trayvon was a smart ass punk who attacked a guy with a gun and got killed in the struggle over it when he had the guy on the ground beating the hell out of him..
Obama in his latest attempt to move away threw more gas on the fire portraying by Saint Trayvon as what he was, an irreponsible kid..That explains Bengahazi, where he left a top American diplomat and his aides die and the rest of his scandals he hopes his diatribes will hide. .
Even after learning the shooter was a staunch Obama supporter, not Jewish(seems to be lightly mentioned), and a very dark skinned “hispanic” Obama did nothing to curtail the hyperbole or tone down his edict creating this as a racist episode. Obama the boss of bosses and gets all the information about anybody ignored Zimmerman’s defence of a homeless black maltreated by a local police officer which resulted in the disciplining of the offending officer at Zimmermans insistance .
The socialists controlling the media propaganda machine oblidged.. They began claiming the exclusive “gated” neighborhood watch captain was a “white hispanic” . used a picture of a 12 year old Martin instead of the 6 foot 165 pound person he was vs the smaller 140 pound lttle fatty neighborhood watch captain. Worse yet allowed his US Attorney General to use questionable activities to promote a show trial and ignored using a threat of prosecution to black militant groups threatening the watch captain’s life.
Do not confuse todays politicians and their ahearants in the press and academia as followers of “Liberalism”. . These are die hard God denying I’m right you’re wrong socialists incapable of independent thinking running todays media.. Devising political campaigns of lies and manipulated inflamatory languange disguised as “news or reliable information” designed to destroy any opponent or group to what is edict-ed by their leader. You must wind up goose-stepping in unison protecting the collective otherwise we will through the use of government step on you and squash you like some insect.. Until the quashers are quashed this will continue..
Same thing here in certain areas of L.A. There’s a reason why Inglewood and Compton have lots of warehouses because it’s cheap rent to store shipments bound for LAX. The point is when the sun goes down, everyone locks up and get out of dodge as that’s the time the ghetto animals come out.
I haven’t been to NY City in years. It used to be the perfect place to spend a weekend, take in a hit show or two, check out the latest styles in clothes, etc. I found it pretty scary last time I was there. I was glad to get on the plane and get out of there.
there is significant whispers among court personel that the juvenile records AND criminal records were being stalled. Remember mz tm mother is a county employee and they type of insiders you have in miami. The state court down there even had a special (secret) court docket dedicated to avoid public media. IOW all dockets and cases were public except those with local vips who knew enough to be placed on that list.
I was born and raised until I was nine in Sanford. My brother/wife still live there. They only listen to the leftist media and think it’s poor Trayyyyvon and evil George Zimmerman.
I don’t go back there unless I have to.
I have spent a fair amount of time in white Florida, and my work has taken me into black Florida from time to time.
My observations are:
1) Most of white Florida has ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE about what's around the corner (more or less)
2) Much of black Florida is like Haiti, and given the right stimulus would mess up white Florida like you wouldn't believe
3) Law enforcement spends a lot of time keeping black Florida and white Florida separated
4) When they come together, it's going to make a big big mess.
Many years ago my wife and I were in L.A. on business near the L.A. Mart. We parked our car in a local parking lot. It was about 10:00 A.M.. The person taking care of the lot was an elderly black man. He asked us what time we were returning to pick up our car, “Saying I leaves at 5PM. I would suggest that you leave this area before dark. It is not safe after dark. I also suggest that your wife remove her jewelry or cover it up so’s no one notices it.”

Sanford though had a substantially higher index crime rate of 6,079.8, with a clearance rate of a little over 25%, which is similar to if slightly lower than the state average. As is the case almost everywhere else, criminality in Sanford is concentrated among the Black population, and Sanford’s racially mixed pattern of housing means that most places in Sanford are relatively close to a Black neighborhood and a source of criminality.
You are SO RIGHT ,, I live in Apopka FL , about 15 miles from Sanford... The black area is a cesspool filled with crime ... At least I know where to park my car if I want it stolen or stripped. If you want to open your eyes use “streetview” and cruise from the safety of your desktop 7th through 20th streets in South Apopka. then choose any area North of 441 for a comparison.

There are parts of Sanford I wouldn’t drive through, no matter what. Things can look calm and normal and in under a minute all hell breaks loose. One can’t be sure.
In the Orlando area -and probably most cities- there are places white people never go. Certain neighborhoods. And yes, they are black neighborhoods. At the same time there are other black neighborhoods I drive through without a thought or worry.

I’ve struggled with this over the years since I’ve moved to Florida from up north. I finally realized we humans are tribal. We gravitate towards the familiar. It’s ok. I don’t have to have close friendships with people just because it’s PC. I interact in a friendly and cooperative way with people of all kinds and colors. I talk to God about it and ask for direction and guidance.
Mostly I know that evil and ugly people come in a variety of backgrounds and colors.

also the school recorded the stolen property as “found” so they did not have to report it to the police.
I hear the Hispanics are pretty dangerous.
Just a microcosm of the dysfunction all over America. Detroit or Sanford and everywhere between.
