The experienced infantry officer argues with facts that women should not be placed in situations where they may have to fight in close quarters or serve in Special Forces.

“Society at large” doesn’t have a clue. The political correctness, bovine excrement crowd believe that women can fight on the front line as efficiently as any man. In order to appease the liberal forces of Congress and members of an Obama White House staff who never served a day in their life in the American military, the Armed Services will be compelled to weaken physical standards in order to allow women to serve in front line situations and in special forces.
Unfortunately, this is not an opinion but a fact. General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has admitted as much. In a press conference announcing the rescission of the 1994 rule excluding women from ground combat units Dempsey said, “If we do decide that a particular standard is so high that a woman couldn’t make it, the burden is now on the service to come back and explain to the secretary, why is it that high?”

The greatest insult to someone on the front line is being questioned or second guessed by a REMF (Rear Echelon Mother F’r). Today we have REMFs in Washington who believe that they are so damn smart they can dictate policy for the entire military based on theory.

Our parallel military is being built up in TSA and FEMA. It will actually wind up being several separate armies in order to balance each other. If a woman could go through Ranger Training or Special Forces Training successfully without changing any of the standards, I would think someone should give her /him some gender/drug tests to determine how it happened. I for one do not believe it can happen without lowering the standards. I guess that makes me a “sexist”. So be it!
I totally agree. Women should not be in combat roles. I was a female JAG and warriors are a very different breed.

Missing the point. The point is to give females preference in the promotion process.
I think that women should be in the Infantry. I think that women should be drafted and put into the Infantry until our Infantry resembles our population. Then, we should take on every other country in the world. Keep drafting females to replace their dead and maimed sisters. Women have desired all the benefits of citizenship without enjoying the benefits of being in the Infantry. Remember Pat Schroeder? Remember her condescending mug on TV railing against the military? Wouldn’t you have liked to see her leading an assault against a fortified position? I would have. Nope....give them what they ask for. Mandate women in the Infantry. You want to see increases in the Defense budget? Draft women into the Infantry. Let them defend a position with one roll of concertina wire. Let them take a bayonet in the guts.
The Israelis tried female combat units. I think it was the 1956 war when the Arabs captured a position held by Israeli female paratroopers. That put an end to female Infantry in the Israeli Army.
Men today need to learn chivalry and honor, women or most men have no place in combat, period. Throughout history, wars were fought by men to safeguard their women and children back home. (except Muslims, like the Kenyan one at 1600 Penn Ave.) Today, if men are not allowed to be taught to be chivalrous and honorable then we will all be not better than Anthony Weiner.

I was going to post Leg shackles and balls and chains but, the majority in 2008 and 2012 demanded, via their votes, that the Government take possession of them body and soul, a/k/a, own them, a/k/a make slaves of them. To this day, bodies are designed specifically for these tasks and no amount of fudging is going to change anything. Yes, women can bulk up and try their hand at power lifting but at their best they wind up looking like freaks and still can't out lift the best man. They wind up sterile and without a place in either camp. On the other hand, surgeons may "overhaul" a "tranny" and produce a reasonable facsimile of a female but "it" is missing the requisite machinery to produce a human baby by itself.
Fighting against what is obvious is an exercise in futility and guaranteed to give nothing but frustration in return.

This fetishistic obsession to place women into combat roles makes me marvel as to how the USMC ever managed that 80 mile withdrawal from Hagaru-Ri at the Chosin Resovoir to the port of Hungnam without women infantry.
NONE OF THIS is necessary and NONE OF IT will enhance the ability of the armed forces to fight. This issue is being impelled by radical feminist activist politics and cultural marxism. Now we are being told that women are MORE suitable for recruitment for the armed forces than men. This is the sort of propoganda that those in the cultural marxist homosexual activist movement employ when they imply that homosexual couples are more suitable to raise children than heterosexuals. Anything to achieve their objective of “fundamentally changing” important societal institutions.
This notion of placing women into combat roles is just so easy to refute. Many of you may have heard of a little dustup called World War II. At the peak of United States involvement in that war there were 12 ½ million personnel in uniform, many of them women. Over 400,000 personnel were killed in the line of duty, against the toughest battlefield enemies this country has ever had to face, ones that were capable of and often did inflict shattering BATTLEFIELD defeats upon our sea, land and air forces. Despite this no one saw any need to place women into combat roles that had the responsibility to directly close with, engage, and destroy the enemy..
Today with a much smaller and almost hand picked elite Armed Forces, and a population base that is more than twice as large as that during World War II, there is even less need for it now than then.
This entire idiocy is being propelled by the demand for selfish feminists to qualify for chairmanship of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, nothing more and nothing less than that.
This lunacy WILL weaken the ability of the Armed Forces to fight, just consider the logistical strain that it will place on the Armed Forces for separate housing and the like. The evidence of the disparity in physical suitabilities for combat MOS’s as reinforced by study after study is simply overwhelming. The effort that will be necessary to obtain a relative few qualified women will not result in anything remotely resembling any accepted model of effeciency, but since that is NOT the object any way, why worry about that? This is merely another sop to the perverted Cultural Marxist notion of fairness and equality and another step on the road of “fundamental transformation” of the vital institutions of this nation.
If your army had suffered 9 million KIA, as the Red Army did along with MILLIONS of POW’s than you MIGHT consider the employment of women in some limited combat roles as a stopgap measure. But you dont send the scrub team to fight the enemy’s first line units from the OUTSET of the war.
The “Reds used women in combat” is meant for those who know NOTHING of the brutal war on the Eastern front and its all consuming totality. They are merely trying to obsfucate and get us to take our eyes off of the ball, which is that armed forces should exist to place the best trained and most combat ready troops to oppse enemy forces and carry out national security/defense policy, not to enhance feminist and cultural marxist agendas.
So where are all the men?
I studied enough Judo to understand the concepts. The idea is to get your opponent to overextend. This places your opponent off balance. You merely assist unbalancing him. The key to this is to help the Democrats overextend themselves.
If they want a few women in the Infantry, then help them by having 51% of the Infantry be female. Require this for “fairness”. You’ll never get that many women to willingly join the Infantry. So, we will have to start drafting females specifically to serve in the Infantry. And for the sake of fairness, no exemptions for pregnancy, fitness issues or motherhood. Liberal men and women will demand that women be removed from the Infantry as their precious princesses start pulling point in Afghanistan. They don’t listen to reason. They will listen to their fears as their daughters become targets.
I just retired in June and you have hit the nail on the head!
