I was at Academy Sports on Friday. They seem to have a good supply of AR’s, PMags, and a fair amount of ammo, but still have restrictions on purchase amounts. Still no .22LR though.
I’ve sent the ‘First Person Defender’ YT Series to 300+ on my mailing lists, and everyone was grateful; even the one liberal lady, who I took shooting at my Farm’s range, years ago, and she’s now a crack shot with a 9mm, did IDPA and NRA competition with me, until I closed 11/1/11. She loved my Class III Firearms: full-auto, select-fire, & suppressors.

I went to the gunshow in Mesquite yesterday. Several dealers in a pi$$ing match selling PMAGs for $9.95. Heh heh heh.
I also found some Dr. Pepper jerky for the womenfolk.

I picked up a ruger 10/22 takedown yesterday with a 10 rounder and a BX-25 mag for 350.
Mounted a cheap 2.5-12X optic that still allows me to fit it all in the backpack.

Yep. .22LR does pop up once every so often, but seems to go fast. I’m looking for some American Eagle 38 grain copper plated. My 10/22 seems to like that stuff.
$9.95 is very good.
Those 10/22 taketowns are sweet. I think davetex got one too.
I like that Takedown model. I don’t like the adder $$.
The price seems a bit high, but I got a good deal.
CTD has 22Long not even LR for the low low price of 40 cents per round in the store yesterday.

A lot of odd ammo I never heard of, I get worried it’s like that Russian crap.
I don’t recognize it either; probably take a pass on it, as I have plenty of good stuff. A lot of Russkie & Chicomm crap is filling-in the gaps now.
Eley seems legit. A lot of different price points tho...
I’ve used the Eley ammo before, it’s top shelf stuff.

Eley is good stuff, but mostly made for competition shooters and fairly expensive. You can usually find it at Grafs or Zanders.
